I think i was an accesory to burglary... It was an accident and i dont even know for sure if they did burglarize it.  However there is a pile of evidence in my car...

My funeral after party post was not a popular one, no one commented and it had very few viewers even though i thought the title was quite a compelling one.  Anyhoo that post would explain the entire premiss as to how i was involved and if u read it and then this it will make perfect sense...

The day after the funeral after party i was driving and noticed a torn screen and its molding in my back window.  I ask phil why there is a window screen in my vehicle and he tell me...

So Jill and Kimeal and a few other drunk chics wanted to go into Chris's house (the guy who died) They wanted to take a momento and maybe get all of his paraphanilia out of his house before his family came into to clean it.  Phil told them the place was being watched like a hawk and wed better not.  They all get in the car and im completly passed out in the passenger side by this point.  Jill and Kimeal say they gotta pee before phil was about to drive off.  They go around the house and phil is just waiting in the car and they come back and we leave and the night progresses as the funeral after party says it does...

Well the next day I find window screens in my car and go to orchard and find Chris's house boarded up....

I think anyone with a brain stem can fit the pieces together....

I dont think they went pee at all....

you are aware of a possible felony, most likely a felony than a possibility.  if you destroy the screens without notifying the police, you are an accomplice to a felony. it matters not if you went in, you and your vehicle was a part of a crime upon a family in their hour of greatest need no matter the intentions to steal and cover other crimes. seven years you will wonder if and when the police will knock on your door over this. silence by you now almost assures your arrest and sentence for covering your part or knowledge in the crimes you described above.  your silence now may end your future later.  one word by any involved over the next seven years and your future becomes very questionable.

Hey starchini, this is not so good, but if may be like the police aren't really spending a lot of effort on a case like this.   I mean, like what was taken anyway, some paraphernalia and shit.  I wouldn't sweat too much over it.  But some of your friends are way weird.

    love nature and stay cool

  • starchini said on Jun 09, 2008....

Phoenix Phil had no idea until i told him about the screen in my car and then he put the pieces together himself and filled me in.  Then we were both like "huh, thats weird" lol...

Tony  Eh, its not that big a deal, didnt even make the paper...im sure his family was confused but they really did help em out.  I mean now his family doesnt have to know he was a coke head, im failry sure thats what they did.  They grabbed all his drugs and pipes and shit so his fam wouldnt see em.  They proly also took a picture or something.

Anon, im definitly not concerned about going to jail...Thats not gonna happen, its not that big a deal.  Plus even if they were busted, i may have been in the car but im sure the judge will take it easy on me sense i have zero recolection and was uncontious during the crime.  Cops around midwest dont give a shit.  People get away with worse all the time.  Its not really that big a deal.  They broke a screen and crawled in through a window of a vacant house and took some things that their friend who just died would have wanted them to take.

Ur absolutly right boi, no one gave a shit...and yesmy friends can be weird.  Im not sweaten it, i just thought it was kinda funny.  : P  I was an accesory to burglary and didnt even realize it haha...

  • starchini said on Jun 09, 2008....

Comes in my part of the country are rediculously laid back and would rather just make things right than to throw people in jail.  If we all did get "busted" wed prolly just have to fix the screen and give the shit back.  No conviction.  The midwest rocks.  : P

a report wasnt even filed.  The cops wernt even involved.  So technically there was no crime commited.

  • hottips4u said on Jun 09, 2008....
Starchini :  Thats a weird situation.

I don't know how to actually look at this as favorable or just excuses to rob a dead mans drugs, money, pipes, pics and whatever else they ran up on while in there......hehe

I am not sure how many will see it, obviously someone noticed and took the time and energy (plus cost) of boarding up a property they found broken into.  Odds are if there was current insurance existing on the property the police must file a report for insurance purposes also.

I don't know how a court would look at you and you envolvement, if any.  One thing that might piss the judge off is if he/she figured out that the break in was for drugs and other items.  I have not met to many sympathetic Judges or prosecutors when
(I have sat on five jury trials as a juror now) crime and drugs is a part of another crime. I disagree with all those above as to what you could or would face.

If...shit hit the fan I see misdemeanors and felonies.  And the guy that drove them there would get the worst charges.  He is the operator and drove away from the break - in as well.

It sounds like a bunch of ya got together partying smoking some weed and drinking and one of you figured since he was into cocaine and now passed, lets go hit the stash and cash, scales, pipes and you know the deal  : )

Sounds like a treasure hunt and not a stroll down memory lane to me as a reader.

Robbing a dead man, friend or foe just don't seem right no matter the excuse.  Even if the family found that stuff, odds are they knew and if not, medical records may well have already told his family what was in his blood anyways at the time of death, ya know ?  : /

Even if law found his stash....he's dead, nothing would have come from it unless what they found can be attributed to his death.

I disagree with telling on friends that may well have had sentimental motives in desiring a small item that once was his.  But when you said cocain, again my mind says that is bullshit and it goes back to drug users on a treasure hunt for more from a known dead user/dealer ?

Your going to do whatever you wish anyways, and nothing anyone says here will change that.  Drugs, breaking and entering, trespassing,  hiding and destroying evidence of a crime.  Hell, maybe you should find some pals that aren't drug addicts ? Users ?  Deal themselves ?   Nice knowing ya, but thats just me, I stopped smoking what little weed I had ever smoked years ago.  Never did cocaine or any other drug, so I am not speaking from experience on what to expect.

I knew a couple guys back in high school that if they had thought a house had drugs in it, they would go after it and not for a memory either...lol  One was killed by police down in Pennsylvania and the other last I heard was still in prison for armed robbery here in NY State.  One died at age 20 and the other went to jail/prison for twenty five years (robbery) and has been gone for at least 6 or 7 years now.  Both local guys, but as I remember them, they was crazy and always into drugs even them.  That wasn't my crowd of pals, but had gone to school with each for several years.

Good luck hope ya never hear another word about it, but I'd put a foot in my pals ass for putting me in such a situation....hehe

    Jess.

Well hottips...none of the friends that were there do anything but pot.  We sat on his stoop and were reminiscing...i passed out and later heard about it.  I know for a fact they broke in not to steal but to keep his mothers heart from being even more broken.  His parents had no idea of his drug abuse.  They wanted to take his paraphenalia and a picture or something.   Im not even sure what they took, i havnt talked to em but that is what phil said they wanted to do and he told em not to.  Im not gonna do anything about it.  The place was gonna be boarded up anyway, they boarded up all the windows not just the one they broke into.  They didnt even break a window they just popped the screen off and opened the unlocked window.  But nothing is gonna come of it.  Im not worried about it at all.  Im certainly not gonna rat my friends out especially sense a report wasnt even made.  There was no damage done but a $ 25.00 screen so im sure insurance was not involved at all.  Chris's parents had enough to worry about and im sure they paid no never mind to a busted screen, they prolly dont even know anything is missing or that it was for sure a break in...It shouldnt have been done and it was wrong of them and a stupid thing to do.  But it happened and im just gonna let bigons be bigons.  So long as i dont get busted for anything.  After all, i was unconscious the entire time.

They all get in the car and im completly passed out in the passenger side by this point.  ( if passed out how ya know ?  hehe )

They broke a screen and crawled in through a window of a vacant house and took some things that their friend who just died would have wanted them to take.

( well, that's a matter of opinion as to what he would have wanted.....hehe, he's not saying ya know ?  and cops I've met I am not sure would share that opinion....lol)

Just kinda glad no trouble for you, ya don't need it, no one does.

    jess.
  • starchini said on Jun 09, 2008....

I know because i dont remember, dur....I got in my car and passed out and the rest i heard from Phil...ur so accusatory, like everything i claim is bullshit...its super annoying.

And yes i was on the property, so...whats ur point?  I didnt deny that.

I know it was going to be boarded up because they boarded it up.  If they boarded only the one, then they knew, but they boarded everything up so that indicates to me that that was the plan anyway...

where are u going with this analyzing my every sentence?

I know that no report was filed and the cops werent involved bc there was nothing in the paper about it.  Where im from they report every move the cops make in the paper the next day.  I would have read about it "Chris ___ home was broken into at such and such time officer ___ was on the scene blah blah"  Get it?

No its not a matter of opinion, chris did say he wanted some one to clear all the illegal shit out of his house before family rummaged through the place.  Many people give those orders to friends incase they die.  So dont be assuming crap u dont know about.  It was requested by chris himself years ago in the beginning of his addiction.  I dont know a single user who hasnt asked his friends to do that.

Im glad its no trouble for me too, that would suck.  Im even more glad that a report wasnt made.

    Chris , hehe :P

lol....I am not picking it a part I was having some fun with contradictions seen in what you wrote as an outsider looking in "not knowing the circumstances as any reader or investigating yokel cop might have notice.

I found the inconsistencies humorous, not damning, not that I blame ya for looking at it that way being on the inside and knowing the circumstances.  I like the rest of us here don't know only what you wrote about the incident, and awww hell, I was just poking fun.  Delete it if ya wish.

I also had no idea "users" would tell each other....
hey if I die hit my house and take my shit ok ?

Just delete my comments if you found them offensive.

  • starchini said on Jun 09, 2008....

Oh please hottips, u know me better than that.  Im not easily offended.  And there were no contradictions.  psh.  and ur absolutly right users dont say "hit my house and take my shit" but they certainly may say in a smoke filled room with a circle of friends:

"man, if i ever die get rid of my bongs and pipes and shit k?"

    "ok sure"

    "k"

    "ok sure thing man"

    "k Thanks"

    "no prob"

    "ok, cool"

    "anytime"

    "yea you too"..........

I personally have told melissa quote

"hey dude if i die get rid of my porn and dildos and vibrators, i dont want my mom finding that shit."

she asked me to trash her pipes....

Read through the other post---and I'm sorry about the friend, Chris.  I can see that probably nothing will come of this--but what a wild experience!  If ever I am "in the neighborhood" of a "crime"  I hope I am passed out, too.
  • uniquely-ironic said on Jun 09, 2008....

I'm glad it wasn't me.  Even unconscious I would have not been able to stop myself from returning even the junk they left in the back seat.  I probably wouldn't give up names, but everything, even the screen, was his.

When my uncle died his friends went in and took his "offensive" stuff out.  I know that was done with kindness, but I still wonder to this day what else they took away.  I think I would have rather the family be forced to face the truth about who and what he was.

I just now got up from a sleep and caught this post, Star. Sorry, for overlooking your previous post, i've been dealing with some personal issues the past few days.  I don't know if I have ever had to think on anythins such as this.  Of the top of my head, I think I would advise you to call a lawyer.  Hopefully, you have a family lawyer with whom you are familia with, and likewise he knows you somewhat.  He will advise you of what you need to do.

I'll be thinking of you, and hoping everything works out all right for you in the meanwhile...

  • hotaka said on Jun 09, 2008....
I think going to take mementos from a dead person's house is kind of morbid and weird. Did they want those things to keep as mementos really or was it just an excuse to take things that didn't belong to them?

And by the way, sometimes you'll find you post something that you are sure will get viewers but few people look and other times something almost meaningless you post will make it to the top of the featured page. That's just SoulCast for you.
  • crybabylu said on Jun 10, 2008....
star---i can see what hotaka is saying, but also I know that sometimes it helps if we feel as though we can also unburden ourselves sometimes too. that is what i a saw you were doing, am i right.  hang in there sweet.

I have heard and or given a similar statement to my friends before about getting the shit that was never meant for my family's eyes out.
Including paraphernalia, sex toys, and my writings.

i can also understand the wanting a picture of something that was his, it is morbid, but i understand.

  • anonymous said on Jun 10, 2008....
this will come back to haunt you.  it was not yours or your drunken drug using friends
either.  it belonged to him and his family.  you all are thieves and grave robbers.
  • hotaka said on Jun 10, 2008....
Well, maybe they were doing him a favour by taking some of those things. But I got the impression that was not the reason they went. I think motive plays an important part here.
  • anonymous said on Jun 10, 2008....
how do you know what you did if you don't remember. maybe someone is pranking you by putting screen in your car.
  • starchini said on Jun 10, 2008....

wombie- it was a crazy night...glad i wasnt conscious for it lol

Unique, if i had the type of things in my room as he did i would never wish my family to know about it and would pray my friends removed it by any means.  Honestly.

Thank you for ur concern crybaby, but really there isnt anything to worry about.  I dont need a lawyer.  Everything is fine.  I just thought it was a messed up experience i would share with u all.  There is no legal action being taken and no report was made.  There is nothing for me to worry about.

Hotaka, i dont understand how it is morbid to have a keepsake from a loved one lost.  If ur mother died im sure there would be something special u would want of hers to keep for yourself.  Jill and Kimeal were very close with chris and they wanted a picture, a hate, or somthing, i still dont know what they took but it wasnt a lot bc no one knew what they did until i found the screen in my car. There was no ill will.  To be honest im quite shocked at how everyone thinks my friends jsut wanted to steal all of his shit.  It was all with good intentions.  None of them wanted to "rip" him off.

Wish upon a star, thank you for seeing the situation as it was.  Innocent.  With broken hearted good intentions.

Anon, thieves and grave robbers?  Whatever, u are stupid.  People can have such a twisted point of view.

Hotaka, there was no other motive, period.  Im positive of that.  All they wanted to do was help him out and not make his family feel shameful.  Motives?  Are u serious?  They were like best friends.  Jeez...

I think that would be a pretty fucked up prank.  Anon.

strange...sounds like a night i had thirteen years ago (minus drunk drivers and break and entry, add gay men sleeping with women, black army men trying to steal her from her boyfriend, a trip to the army reserve, moving a couch torn up by knives to his mother's house,  late night pubs, bad sweet mixed drinks, tequila, coolers, men sitting on me for fun, smashing up art, having her gay lover for the night steal some speakers worth $1,100, her ex-fiance breaking in while we were at the pub having appetizers stealing welfare checks, a leather jacket, the damage deposit and a pot of money in the back while smashing a window, ten cats sleeping on or around me, several mattresses, possibly some pot, the Lost Boys and Nirvana playing and on and on....a biblethumper coming by telling us we will all rot in hell  amazing how gayness and pot riles up these people but their shotguns don't)  on and on...could write a story on it...
