Promoting my shop on Etsy is hard to do. It can be fun, but with o many sellers, it reminds me of retail shops before zoning ordinances put a limit on signage and the street corner sign twirlers, jumping up and down, waving, shouting, OVER HERE! LOOK AT ME! OVER HERE! *(Yes, every link goes someplace different!)
So, like many others, I'm have a SALE! and a CONTEST!
But something funny happened on the way to the forum. Another seller, BelleSirota, who also carries my work in her retail gift shop, also named Belle SIrota
became interested in offering a bonus prize. So we created the WINDOW-SHOPPING SPREE CONTEST WITHIN A CONTEST
And then, I met another seller, GreenWorks from Ireland, who had such fun in the thread and the first contest, that she proposed a contest/sale, too! That one went quickly because someone guessed the lucky number within minutes of announcing the contest, but so it goes. Her sale , a "Flowersbyfarha sent me" 20% off all hemp products in her store, continues through Monday Midnight.
It is so much fun connecting with other Etsy members, like having a party that waxes and wanes that the "work" of promoting hardly seems like work.
Speaking of waxing... I just announced a new contest within a contest...The WASHING DAY BLUES contest, though I hadn't thought up the name when I posted it. Laundry day can be such a chore, I thought it would be fun to share our stories, poems and laundry day adventures.
What are your laundry day stories!
