It depends on how dull the read is. If the story line is good, but the author puts too much blah, blah, blah in I do.

Okay, I do believe in fate to a point. I believe that each road has a specific end, but that there are so many off-shoots that you really couldn't say point A specifically leads to point B. Each choice takes you down a new road, which has many other choices.
How about a realistic happy ending? I used to like happy endings, but most of the ones now are so unrealistic that it takes away from the good ending. Unhappy endings, where the hero dies, cheese me off.
Probably Julia Roberts, not the greatest upbringing - bad choice in relationships - but she managed to make it in the end.
