  Oh polar doodle ~ that is so great!!!  I only have heard her voice on the youtube she posted of her singing lesson.  Some day, myabe I will get to talk with her too.  Yes, she is a wonderful person and friend.  :)

  Well, I am envious. But I plan to visit Iceland in a few years and then I hope to meet her and her cool son. I am sure she must be just brilliant to meet in person. But then again, polar, I think you would be perfectly excellent to meet too.

  Pusscat, well this is the first time I've spoken to Skald since we became friends about a year and a bit ago.  It takes a long time to form a strong bond to bring the relationship to a point when one does feel comfortable to ask if you can call.  Skald and I have sent each other things by mail and also text messages.  It was defo great to speak in person though :-)  Thanks for your comment!
   
  Quiet, yes I remember that video with her singing.  I actually thought of that when I called her.  It was nice to her speaking English with that gorgeous accent of her's :-)

  Dee, you are too funny!!  Skald said that she thought it was a little girl calling her LOL!!  I must sound like a kid, which is ok since I'm in my late 30ies already. . .HA,HA!  I bet you have a lovely American accent.
   
  U-I, yes friend, it was a very special moment.  My heart was fluttering whilst the phone was ringing. . .and it was so nice that she immediately "knew" it was me when I identified myself.  Skald has really become like a mom to me in many ways.

  Polar--I have a semi-southern accent only not slow, if that makes any sense.  My dad was from Tennessee and never lost his accent, but my mother was from KS and for some reason, talked faster than others from KS (I think KS talk average, not too fast and not slow), so I guess when you put that combination together, you get a fast talker with an accent......ha!  Whatever that is, that is me, ha!
