To me, it is a great opportunity to meet people of different nationalities by being a caretaker of a mansion. The house located in a village used to be the residence of Philippine movie personalities and foreign nationals.

Position:  Caretaker

Description: No formal training on housekeeping and home management.  I was entrusted on the housekeeping inside and outside the building and the keeping of cleaning tools/equipments, supplies and materials.  Maintain the cleanliness in the bedrooms, comfort rooms, master's bedroom, children's room, visitor’s room, servant's quarter, kitchen, garage, swimming pool, and the lawn area/garden. The shrub plants are regularly trimmed and sweeping of fallen leaves of oak trees around the perimeter was also regularly done.  A "House for Rent" notice outside the building was kept in place to attract foreign nationalities to walk-in to see the place.

Reason for leaving the work place was the weakening physical condition of my old-aged father, Julian, and my family’s call to return to our home town.
