These details relate to my past experience that I could never forget to the rest of my life. The place I had been to and what I was doing as means of survival.

December 26, 1996  to  February 4, 1997
Employer: Garden Inn Hotel owner/proprietor (Reyes)
Address:   Main Building, Bagong Calsada Street, and Extension Building, Solimar del Pansol Street, both in Calamba, Laguna, Philippines

Position:  Room Attendant

Description: No formal training on housekeeping and home management. The routine concerns were to clean the hotel rooms, comfort rooms, change soiled linens to fresh ones, make-up the beds which were properly mittered and wrinkle-free, fumigate/freshen the rooms, amenities were arranged properly for comfort and convenience of clients, serve foods and beverages/drinks to room occupants, cleaned the hallways and car garrage areas, and washed and sanitized linens in the washing machine. The room attendant shifting time was from 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. or 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

My desire to take up two short courses on computer basics: business application soft wares and Microsoft Windows 95 in Ozamiz city, neighboring town of Oroquieta, had caused my immediate resignation.  This was in connection to an application requirement with a recruitment agency, PERT CPM at Padre Faura, Metro Manila , for the position of Male Secretary in Saudi Arabia .

I don't hate housekeeping-I just don't do it anymore. I, at one time, lived for housekeeping, the dishes, the laundry, the yardwork. I just don't do it anymore.

Why? Because life is short, and I'd rather do things that I enjoy more.
