  Interesting take, not that I read much on the American point of view on this topic anyway.  My main reason is that EVERYONE that posts articles on this topic from America come across as being extremists and intellectually challenged, including your lovely self.

  hi lucy!  I am reading but not understanding.  I don't see any insecurtiy in sheltercrow.  I do see it in smb.  to invite someone to a debate and then block him, to me, shows a sign of insecurity.  If I get blocked, don't look for  me under anonymous, I will take that the conversation or discussion is over.

  Lucy/Firesky-Sheltercrow aka Oceanwaves, Kickingcrow, Knawingdog, etc...is an extremist nutcase.  We go back a while when he started out as Oceanwaves.  I tried to have an honest debate with him, he a majority of the time says nothing just posts endless links and neverending leftist garbage to some how prove his point.  When I have challenged him on the fact of this he started playing 5 year-old so I blocked him.

  Just recently I somehow ended up on his blog and after puking a little in my throat from reading some of the crap I noticed he has some hit-pieces about me.  I was content just block him and ignore him but he brought this on himself.

  He constantly makes anti-Semetic remarks, remarks to being one of those nutball 9/11 conspiracy people, he downright hates America, and he is a despicable person.  Now conservatives often invoke the "hates America" calling with a lot of people and it may be unwarranted, but in Sheltercrows case, he honestly hates America.

  As far as him being threatening to me?  Not possible, anyone with a half a brain can tell he is a nut just by reading his articles.

  Read all of my postings on Sheltercrow, tell me specifically where I'm wrong.  Go and read any of things he comes up with, read some of the pieces on his pro-Iran versus Anti-Israel stance.  I'm not even a Jew and I can see this prick is a racist ignoramous.

  I don't know that this description fits him either. I think he is agrivated and frustrated, perhaps what he sees as a 'grevious' miscarriage of justice towards the Palestinians.  I certainly can't speak for him, but from what I read on his blogs, I just see a man in pursuit of the truth about the conflict over in the "Middle East".

  But wouldn't a "pursuit of truth" also include the Israeli viewpoint? This is clearly not visible in many of Shelter's posts on the Middle East. That he speaks from only one viewpoint may indeed articulate his point of view, but this can hardly be construed as a "pursuit of truth."
   
  And he has characterized SMB as some kind of right-wing operative.
   
  Why make personal statements and post hit-pieces if you're in search of the "truth"?

  CB-You seem like a reasonable person, but I think you are naive.  If you read Sheltercrows comments and put them into context he is a raging anti-semite.  He posted the above thing to try to cast a dark shadow over Israel but when you actually go and read the article it makes the Palestinians looks worse, this is what makes him a moron. 

  The debate of the Israel/Palestinian question according to Sheltercrow is summed up by highlighted every bad thing Israel does taken out of context.  Example:  Israeli occupation force fires into crowd of 3,000 Hamas protesters at Gaza crossing:
  

  Israel occupation forces?  These "occupation" forces are trying to stop Hamas (a terrorist group whose charter calls for the destruction of Israel) from getting into Israel after they handed Gaza over to the Palestinians.

  I'll concede that Israel throughout he years has blood on their hands but once again put it into context with the whole conflict.  How many suicide bombers have hit Palestinian markets and killed woman and children?

  Shelter's pursuit of truth is more a pursuit of propaganda, otherwise he would have posted that story and put it into context.  And as Curm alluded to, why do hit pieces on me?  If he has a difference of opinion why not state that opinion if he believes it to be true?

  Shelter does the same thing with his own country, that is why he buys into the 9/11 inside job bullshit.  Please enlighten me about Shelter's pursuit of the truth in this arena.

  smb---When I first read them, i thought so too!  Then I checked out his links, and that is basically what he is doing, is trying to get people to read and compare, and think about what is going on over there.

  when i was writing down the definition above, i was talking to papajack about it, and it does sound borderline anti-semetic, but this is what made me decide....

  Again - a pursuit of truth would incorporate not only the perceived injustices suffered by the Palestinians, but suffering of Israelis under ceaseless rocket attacks and suicide bombings.
   
  This eqanimity is not present in sheltercrow's posts.
   
  It is his absolute right to hold and express such opinions, but they can hardly be construed as a pursuit of truth.

  I see what you are saying, but I am referring to when he looks up different links.  At first, when he started on the entire Israel situation, he was posting both sides, but I think he got frustrated with Israel's actions, and started coming down on them more then.
