mOOn platOOn

It's been quite awhile since I joined in a political rally.

When I found a job ad on craigslist for folks to attend a Hillary support rally at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood (where they'd get $20 for speaking up) it was irresistable. After all, I had my line from Hillary's Last Chance to use!

I applied and was chosen. The results can be found (theoretically) later today on YouTube. I gave a pretty good speech, with a bunch of sign-wavers behind me on stage at the Laugh Factory (the same place where Seinfeld's Kramer self-destructed a while back with his "niggardly" comments). I even got a few laughs.

It was strange to be a participant instead of a casual observer at such an event. When was the last time you got political in public?

I once went to a smoke-in against the war. I recall chanting briefly then hiding behind signs to light up. People who passed by casually were getting "contact highs."

I don't think Hillary's going to cave in to pressure to quit before the convention. Why should she? "Committed" on not no votes have been cast until they are at the convention and anyone who'se a delegate can change their mind and vote for whoever they want to. Everything else is just "predictions."

I have never been involved on that level but I've filmed and interviewed a few polies... I found the whole atmosphere rather enjoyable, evoking, I could have said a lot but it wasn't my place... most of the time I can't help but make them look like fools, the ones I don't like anyway.

    Good for you mOOn!

mOOn......I had my share of political actions when i was younger....you know, lots of street parades, political rallies, conferences, buildings occupations, a short stay in the police jail, fliers distributing, radio station volunteering, pacific manifestations, articles writing, ....you name it.....

I believe we do our political actions each single day, each single thing we say, each single decisions we take.

Politics is just a matter of choices.

So basically...aren't we always doing a political action?
    And btw.....nice job there...:-)

I listen to the drunk people fight in the alley, and wonder how I was ever one of them. I get worn out after I spend 3 hours with a human that wants interaction, including my husband....
Well they did it......despite a majority of Americans that oppose the proposed socialist health care bill.....they passed it.

This will clearly set the ball rolling for a massive Republican resurgence in 2010....

Democrats make promises they cannot and will not keep ...
    as usual.
