HH:  Haha!  Funny you should say "bones."  That's why I came up with the user name that I have!  I separated my sacrum while giving birth to Little D.  I've had to go through pool therapy, physical therapy, injections (including Epidurals) in my back.  I'm in physical pain almost every single day and my anxiety is a daily battle.  So, "Daily" I have "Aches and Pains!"

I was actually coming here to get something out of my system from earlier this evening.  A panic attack of all panic attacks when Mr. A-Hole got me out of the house and now I'm a REAL Husband Hater! LOL!  How come they don't ever listen?

I hope that you are better now. I went to check for your post and didn't see one yet. SO I guess you are either still writing or you've vented. I'm around the halls here so I'll be in and out checking around.

    HH:  You're right!
I didn't end up posting it.  I write and then delete.  Then I want to hit myself for staying up so late to write it out, lol.  I am thanking you for letting me vent here a bit!

I still have pain almost every single day.  The therapy and shots didn't do anything for me.  I do not want the operation, even though I was only just told about it...FIVE YEARS LATER!  I could come out worse, better or the same.  I can't risk the "worst" part and being the same is pretty much normal to me now.

Hmmn.. I think it was about 4 in the morning when I finally decided to sign up here and give myself an SC name.. and I had just recently read something that talked about diabolical something (can't remember).. and evil is always sexy.. hehe.. so diabolic just popped into my head and then dame just seemed to go well with it. Thats it.

HH - when i first joined, I was truly unhappy with who I was.  I knew in my heart that I was not demonstrating what I could be physically, spiritually, success-wise, emotionally.  I also knew that I could and was going to be more - hence, Future Goddess -
  • crybabylu said on May 26, 2008....

I came up with crybabylu, because i did a lot of counseling in my time with other christians and whenever they would be sharing with me, some of their grief, and start to cry, inveribly, I would cry too.

Whenever I would tell a friend of mine this, he would say, "oh you are such a crybaby",  and then he would laugh at me afffectionately,  therfore, the name;..., crybabylu was born.

it's a title of my favorite song.... =) and i am indeed the queen of paranoia... =)
  • skald said on May 26, 2008....
I started as kona, which means woman but then I thought someone from my country could recognize me, I got a new account skald. It had to be short. Something I would remember and in my language. I wanted to identify with it too. I am not a poet but sometimes I feel that way, skald means a poet, also a author and so many other things.  Anyway when I had been here a while I did not care if people knew who I was or not. But I like my name.
  • Expendable said on May 26, 2008....
I've had this before soulcast. In chatrooms, it's good for a well-meaning lecture by some random idiot who'd insist that "nobody's expendable" a couple times a week.
  • gingersoul said on May 26, 2008....
HH.. .... i always liked the name Ginger ......i was actually thinking of naming my daughter in this way....so when i signed here the soul in Soulcast seemed just complementing that name.....
    .
Plus, ginger is an oriental spice and i always had an attraction for that far away side of the pond....:-)

Also, i like to cook and spices enhance the flavor of any food....like friends and love make the days better.........:-)

  • crybabylu said on May 26, 2008....

    hi ya ginger!

My younger sister is name ginger....actually her real name is Virginia, we call her ginger.......some times ginny......but never FAYE................  (hahaha that is her middle name)

  • gran1de7 said on May 26, 2008....
I might sound pompous, narcissistic or something, but actually... gran1de7... separate the numbers from the letters, and you get "grande" and 17...

grande is for "Greatness"... because I feel great... and I'm hoping to become a great person or one of the great people someday (har har...)...

17 is my favorite number (part of birth date)... this might happen within or after 17 years...

dream on... anyway, it's only a nickname, so no big deal...
  • RollingC said on May 26, 2008....
I really don't remember why I picked mine except that my first user name was different but then (like a fool) I forgot my password and had to pick another.  This one has my initials.

i came up with this name because i have an obsession with stars and i always wish on them and i liked the ambiguity of wish upon a star...

  • hotaka said on May 26, 2008....
Hey, ginger, you have an interest in my side of the pond? Well, well... I knew we had more than just wrestling in common.

Someone (silverwhisper?) did a post like this a long time ago. But we have so many new people now it would be nice to see some new explanations.

I chose my name after one of my favourite mountains in Japan. At the time it was a target for me, a goal. I had visited the mountain twice before but each time the weather drove me off. After joining SC I went again and made it nearly to the summit but again the weather changed and I went down. Finally last summer I reached the summit with my girlfriend (now wife).
  • curmudgeon said on May 26, 2008....
It just seemed an appropriate handle for my tone of voice. I get cranky every now and then - especially about politics - and just vent.

But lately I've been feeling that the curmudgeon role a little stifling, because I want to be more supportive and discuss things rather than hurl the usual broadsides and counter-jabs.
  • satyr said on May 26, 2008....
does my name really need an explanation?
  • husbandhater said on May 26, 2008....
Actually Cur I had no idea what your name meant and I like the enlightenment. But if you want to be more supportive and discuss things there is NO NEED for a name change. Part of excepting people is you take them GOOD,BAD,UGLY or BEAUTIFUL. We ALL have our moments Curm.

Hottie I loved the pictures of your wedding to your wife. They were beautiful and since you conquered Hotaka I guess you've earned the right to the name. It takes a lot of strength to climb a mountain. And the training is vigorious. So I tip my hat to you sir.

Wishing on a star Beautifully written.

R.C. I like your name and you definately keep it rolling in here at times.

Grand1de7 there is nothing pompus in Greatness. We are ALL great in our own way.

CrybabyLu -A good cry is always good. Someone that is intune with themself emotionally tells me this is the reason you are well versed with your expression.

Ginger I thought it was either your actual name or the spice you were talking about.

Daily I hope the back feels better. I like the way you and many others came up with their names. They are all unique and clever in their own right. Like Skald, Diabolic.d and QueenP,FutureG,and Paper although she is so gifted with words that I pretty much know that she probably either wishes she was paper or it all flows like such.

THANK YOU ONE AND ALL for sharing with me and the rest of us how it is that you came to be who you are. I love hearing about things like this.
And no Satr it doesn't it also speaks louder than words.

  • hotaka said on May 27, 2008....
Hi silverW. I am glad I was correct in remembering it was your post. Some time ago that was, eh? Ooh, look. Like a Canadian Yoda phrasing my sentences I am, eh?

HH, it is not so much training as it is a ravenous lust for capturing mountain light at its most glorious and the stubborn pride of being able to say I went to the top.
  • MommaSue said on Jun 01, 2008....

Just saw this, so I'm a little late....hope that's okay!

Ya know how when you're in trouble and your parents use your middle name....well, after having done it to my kids, my kids do it to me!  They say "Momma Sue!" instead of using my actual first name...

  • husbandhater said on Jun 05, 2008....
    Welcome Mama Sue

  • PAPERBACKWRITER said on Jun 05, 2008....

Finally, I made it back to this post...my heartfelt apologies, HH!

(thank you dee, for bumping it up to my conversation :) )

I am a fan of the Beatles, and the song Paperback Writer has always been a favourite of mine.

PBW is the first username I had to choose/create in the internet.

When I had to fill in the box, the song just popped into my head (well perhaps because SoulCast is about writing :) ).  And because I was happy on the day I signed in, I wrote the letters all in caps, unaware that in cyberspace putting words in caps is "shouting", lol.

It was also my first step in affirming - openly -  my fervent wish of being a published writer.

What I like most about PBW,  as I chose it, was I got to use paper ~ as my nickname :).  Paper for me is simple, and unassuming - like I want to be perceive and regarded.

    Best regards, HH!

    paper ~

    :)
