Mom went to the hospital today with an upper respiratory infection and we were there for seven hours before they even saw her, and another hour and a half after that...

She has a UTI. She has dementia, of course we already knew that. She is 84 this June 20, and doesn't speak now.
She has aspirations, and a year ago, they wanted to take her off all water and food, and just let her pass, we all said no, so they thicken everything liquid so she can swallow.
Therefore, when they found the UTI tonight, they started her on liquid anti-biotics, and he will check on her more next week. Thank you.
