  Cloverfield was a pretty good movie, good plot, good acting, good action.  And this is from somebody who refused to see it in theatres because I was expecting Blair Witch (which sucks) vs Godzilla (which is awesoe) but mixing the two should have been horrible, but it turns out this was definitly a solid two , two ahd a half stars.

  SR-You didn't find it boring?  I don't know I started to lose consciousness at the beginning, then I was dizzy in the middle, then let down at the end.

  The begining was kinda slow, but the acting was spot on, it was definitely an art flick at the begining begining.  It doesn't really matter if you fast forward though the begining because it's easy enough to figure out who's in love with who.  As shakey as that camera was it wasn't too bad not after Blair Witch 1 & 2.  The middle with those little parasite things was great and the ending parts were a lot of fun. 
   
  Like I said out of 5 this is a solid 2, 2.5.  A movie I'm glad I watched but also a movie I'm glad I didn't watch in theatres.

  i'd have to agree with you there m. i thought it was about 5 minutes of excitement and 90 minutes of boring people running around. the helecopter crash was pretty cool tho.

  If this is a negative one you clearly haven't watched enough movies.  Go watch The Forgotten, White Noise, Manos Hand of Fate.

  i like the godzilla films, but more because they're a genra than the fact that they're actually good movies. and i do understand what you're saying about the artistic approach of the movie sr, i just had a different impression of what it was from the advertising, and was disappointed to find it wasn't exactly an adventure flick or a sci fi movie. and yes, i watched blair witch, or most of it anyway, and found it really dull and boring, not at all scary. i never believed it was a true story, i always believed it was a production, and that the peope in it were actors.

  On another blog I was talking to somebody who thought that Ironman sucked and was talking about how it sucks because it's about a flamboyant American and he wins in the end.  To me that was kinda stupid, it's like a guy going to Save the Last Dance and being upset that in the end the boy gets the girl.  Why would you go to a movie that you knew you weren't going to like.
   
  Like I keep saying I give this a 2 or 2.5 out of 5 it's not a great flick but it's far from unwatchable.

  well, the concensus for cloverfield seems to be watch it once. i wanna see iron man, it looks really good in the trailers, and i get what you're saying about that guy. i do somewhat remember the comic books, and it doesn't look like the movie character is anything like that. but he looks really cool flying around with those jets.

  I've seen some bad movies this year.  That Tarentino movie Deathproof, terrible movie.  Good concept, just boring as hell.  Someone told me White Noise sucked, I didn't watch it because I'm not really a Keaton fan. 

  I've heard mixed reviews of Ironman, some say bad some say good, so I don't know.
