Saturday boredom buster

I haven't written anything in awhile. I really haven't had the time. But I figured I'd put something up here just so my blog doesn't sit there collecting dust.

I haven't asked any questions in a long time either. I liked the questions. That meant I didn't have to think up anything to write about. I think I'll do something like that again.

Okay that's all I got for now. I know there aren't many people around this weekend (or any weekend) But those of us without plans now have something to do.

    The funniest thing someone said to me this week was "rock, paper, scissors, grenade".  **You had to be there on the bus with all the 1st graders for the zoo trip for that to make any sense.**

    I get irritated when someone who is not a parent presumes to tell me how they think I should parent and what kind of parenting decisions I should make.

    The last dream I remember was...I honestly don't remember

    The one food I will not eat is...Well, I can't think of anything.  I'll try just about anything once.  But I'm not as adventurous as Anthony Bourdain;  that's for sure.

    My happiest moment this week was watching my son have a good time at the school carnival and then again on the zoo field trip.

    The first thing I did when I woke up today was get dressed, brush my teeth, and run to the post office to mail a package that had to go out today.

    I'll never leave home without my cell phone.

    Right now I feel tired and a bit overwhelmed at everything I need to get done in the next few weeks.

    My happiest moment this week was....watching linebacker baby take two tiny, timid steps on his own last night.

    The first thing I did when I woke up today was....grumble about being poked awake. The first significant thing I did was make a grocery store run.

    I'll never leave home without....my cell phone and some form of ID.

    Right now I feel....hopeful, worried, happy, sleepy, and clean.

    The last dream I remember was....i had somehow had a baby, and my cousin named it jemimah. like that maple syrup? and i got mad at her because i didnt wanted to be reminded of the lady on the maple syrup bottle every time i said my kids name xD

    The first thing I did when I woke up today was....notice i had a headache.

    It was pretty awesome that he took a few steps, but then of course I couldn't get him to do it again. I'm so excited for him to be a little more independent that it's hard to just be patient and let him take it at his own pace.

    Two little steps is still a great accomplishment. He'll get brave and take more. And soon he'll be running and you won't be able to keep up.

    Polarheart.....I just remembered I had a dream about eating green Jello last night....hmm....I get irritated when things don't go my way too. Have fun in the loo ;-)

    Yeah, but I came up with the outfit to go with the hair...makes ya glad you didn't grow up with a sister, doesn't it? ;-)

    I think this little boy is just the sort of kid who won't do anything until he can do it perfectly. :-p He sat really early, but he's been taking his time on the other stuff. Little perfectionist.

    You're killing me. I might do leather, but it wouldn't be pink. And heels?? That's just not a good image of me. I think I look much better in Honey Bunches of Oat blue and combat boots ;-)

    Boxy: It's not that I don't appreciate advice from other parents or grandparents. But it really rubs me the wrong way when someone who isn't a parent seems to think they can tell me how to be a parent or how to handle certain situations with my child.

    I get irritated when I am irritated by so much that I can't mention just one thing that I get irritated about.  Or something.

    If I were in the charge of the world there would be no ignorance.  As I've said before, stupidity can't be helped, but ignorance is a choice.  Of course, everything's dependent on what I consider ignorant, which might be a problem for some people. . .

    The last dream I remember was the one I had a couple of days ago.  I don't remember exactly what happened, but I was pissed off and screaming at my husband.

    The one food I will not eat is blue cheese.

    My happiest moment this week was when my five-year-old's soccer coaches were gushing about her natural ability and calling her the best player on the team.  I already knew she kicked ass, but it was nice to get some validation.

    The first thing I did when I woke up today was hit the snooze button.

    I'll never leave home without my clothes.

    Right now I feel like I need a nap, even though it's 5:45 pm.

    I get irritated when....when my MIL ignores me, shes up on a holiday, two boys to talk to and one me... its hard to get involved when the convo's are about their pasts....

    The last dream I remember was.... This morning, I was dreaming about sex.... then had sex.... **grin**

    Zayda......yeah it's especially annoying to get advice from people without kids. Most of the time you don't know what you'd do until you have a child of your own. It's always easier to spout off what's wrong and right until they have to be the one making the decisions.

    Infernally.....I'm afraid you'll never see me in pink leather so you'll just have to take my word for it ;-)

    Eilan......I don't like bleu cheese either. It's got mold in it. I don't usually leave my house without clothes either, but somehow that slipped my mind in favor of my cell phone. Apparently I'll be naked out there but be able to call someone to bring me clothes.

    Lucy.....Sex is a great way to wake up. Especially if you're dreaming about it right before....lucky you ;-)

    Funniest thing said to me - This is a tough one as I hear many funny things.  How about when I  finally went to the grocer (I don't go nearly as often as I should) and filled two carts, the cashier upon completeing the task of ringing everything up said "Will that be all?"  I almost died laughing, considering the amount of stuff I had purchased.  I know they are trained to say that or something similar, but...

    I get irritated when I have made it clear that a discussion is over and the other party can not or will not let the matter drop.

    If I were in charge of the world there would be no lawyers! lol  Not quite a serious as some of the others, but...

    The last dream I remember was a rather bizzare sequence about old friends I haven't seen in years doing very peculiar things.

    The one food I won't eat is any crustacean.

    My happiest moment this week was when I discovered just how devious my family can be! (see Backyard Kitchen post)

    The first thing I did when I woke up today was the three S's (For the uninitiated; Shit, Shower and Shave)

    I'll never leave home without my American Express Card.  lol  (otherwise the list is quite long)

    Right now I feel energised!

    With the appropriate card I can always get the other items I may have forgotten, including clothing should the need arise!  lol

     

    LATE BREAKING NEWS

    It seems that a certain local retired businessman left home today with out first getting dressed.  Fortunately however he did remember to grab his American Express Card as he ran out this front door.   Last seen he was entering the verizon store on third and broad to purchase a new cell phone.  At this tme it is uncertain whether or not he has aquired clothing, but we have been assured that that is on his to do list. 

    More as the story developes! 

    Now back to regularly scheduled programming.

    wish.....that's pretty bad if you have to carry a pocket knife and mace with you. Have you ever had to use either of those on someone?

    The funniest thing someone said to me this week was.... "I'm so sorry." The incident was so funny I still spend sleepless nights laughing about it. Lol.

    I get irritated when....Someone says "I'm so sorry" 10x on exactly the same subject. Come to think of it, I get irritated with most kinds of redundant talk. Moonriver K'ung fu-tzu like to talk in riddles. Lol.

    The first thing I did when I woke up today was....click a switch in my mind that's marked, "Autopilot." The Captain was romping with the flight attendants in the business lounge. Lol.

    Hey Boxy, this is just to tell you that I always enjoy reading your posts, even if I rarely comment. This is one of those rare times. That's how quarky I am today haha.

    Boxy dude, you might just as well ask me, "Is a circuit breaker a good thing or a bad thing?" Lol.

    Quarky is a good thing for me. It discharges the zillion volts running inside me by releasing tiny bolts of quarky sparks safely into the outside world.

    I can release my quarks more often onto your blog. I think you're made of tough industrial-strength stuff. You can take it. :-)

    My mini-boss had a baby about 6 months ago.  That weird conversation happened because there was leakage of a certain type due to product failure.
