Some time in 2007, my sister was out of town for almost a week. Being his brother, I had been busy with computer work. I spent most of my time encoding texts for a resume and application letter for two job positions: caregiver and room attendant. Those were to be e-mailed to recruitment agencies inside and outside the Philippines. Also, some necessary documents to support the applications were scanned through a scanner. So, the encoded texts and documents were sent to the document files for storage and future retrieval. Also, copies of those documents were sent to a floppy (3.5) diskette. Everything went on smoothly with the computer.
Each time, when the work was done, I proceeded to the internet cafe with all the essential documents in the diskette. I could send a few applications at a time. At the internet cafe, I spent one, two, or three hours at Php 15 per hour.
When my sister came home, she was doing her office work with her computer. Alas! Something wrong with it! It suddenly shut down! She then turned to me furious and nagged at me. She was mad at me thinking that my constant use of it caused the sudden malfunctioning. She called for a technician who found out that the mother board of the PC was grounded by the presence of the cock roach being stuck to it. The repair required her to replace the damaged mother board to a new one which costs her Php 8,000 plus the repair charge.
Until now, she keeps on repeating the incident and putting the blame on me when she has a reason to get mad with my constant use of her computer.
