  I think that there were 19 to start with.  I'm not quite sure if they all made it.  They are quick as they run in and out from under the back porch.  They are hard to count.  There are at least a dozen that are curious.  It's hard to tell who I'm counting.  Several of them are all black so I may not be getting the count right as they scurry around.

  CW~ I thought perhaps you had begun your new book and you were putting all of your creative energy into that. But instead it seems you were being introspective and gathering those creative juices. I find I need that quiet time alone, that it is very necessary not only for writing but for my wellbeing. I enjoy those periods and I hope you are enjoying yours.

  I guess I have been a little introspective.  I have been thinking about the book.  I've decided on the number of chapters that I would like to write.  Next, I'm putting the outline to paper.  I plan to be writing full speed very soon.  I've been putting other things in front of it and I'm going to stop that.  :-)

  how weird that flickr's behaving strangely. i think there's a limit to how many pictures you can post, though--i seem to recall skald having this problem some time ago.

  I've been in kind of a quiet funk.  I think it will pass.  It's part relationship and part grief.
