Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit;

Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit-salad.

I thought this was quite good, but I was trying to see how this could apply to everyday living.

    polar I totally believe there is a huge difference between knowledge and wisdom. I\'m thinking of some.....

    knowledge is knowing all the theories in psychology...wisdom is to be able to understand them, and apply them.??

     it is hard isnt it..   I'll keep thinking :-) xx

    That's a good way to see it Destiny, I am sure esp in psychology one needs to weigh up the odds to see how to approach any specific client. . .what works for the one may not work for the next :-)

    Ahh.. that is quite true, isn't it?!

    Knowledge is knowing all the topics and wisdom is knowing which ones are important enough to study  thoroughly.

    Sorry but  I'm just a couple of days away from my exams! hehe..

    Knowledge is browsing through the entire syllabus and wisdom is knowing what is worth retaining in the memory.

    Sorry but I'm dangerously close to exams!

    i like this blog entry, polar. :>

    knowledge is understanding that water boils at 212f/100c; wisdom is understanding that it still hurts like the dickens at half that temperature. :>

    knowledge is something you gather from books - wisdom is what you gather from life.

    Yes, the difference between knowledge and wisdom is great and you are blessed with wisdom. Of course you know a great deal too. But the wisdom is a blessing that you have and yet you are so young.

    Wisdom is knowing that all the knowledge of man is worthless without the understanding of how to apply it.

    OR

    Knowledge is when you think that you know everything, wisdom is when you understand that you know nothing
