Who are you?
Hi. I am StillDocked. I am new to SoulCast, however not to blogging. For the last five years or so, I have had my LiveJournal and for the last decade or so I have had a variety of personal web sites using the name StillDocked. There is another StillDocked out there, in the UK, I believe, however, I am not he. He is not me and the world goes on.

I am thirty one years old (for the next three weeks or so), married to a wonderful woman (Ami) and father to an incredible child (TEA). I work in IT for a small pharmaceutical company doing mostly linux system administration. I have a dog, who is one of my best friends and I drive fifteen year old Saab that is more trouble than it is worth, yet I still love it.

My wife and I just bought our first home in August and we are spending our time and money getting it just right. First off, I am not cut out for home ownership. I am not what you would call 'handy'. I am more the type to call a contracter to change light bulbs. That being said, I have done some minor plumbing work already and used my ingenuity to make lemonade out of the lemons I have seen. I would much rather call a contracter.

I love media and I love being a consumer of media. I read quite a bit. It has been remarked on that I read quickly, which I see as a benefit as it allows me finish reading crappy books quickly. I have a handful of favorite films including The Searchers and Casablanca. In this vein, my favorite material possession is my iPod, which I always have on my, and which is on for seventy percent of my waking hours. Art, it seems, has the ability to redeem life and present the world as it should be.

I live in Albany, New York. I went to Union College and then took classes at UW while living in Seattle, WA after college. I am a vegeterian. I believe in the power of the individual mind. I believe that governments are essentially evil. I believe in the power of reason over the faith of superstition.

And I believe in baseball.
