I wasn't enjoying writing much last month.  I suffered from data overload.  I collect articles from Dr Mirkin's newsletter that are related to my health and they accumulate in my files and I needed to sift through them all.  Well the list gets long enough that their amount and random nature (Mirkin doesn't write his newsletters based on any one theme) left me with the distinct impression that I would be leaving useful information out if I were to write a post on a general issue.  This led me to sort them by category so I can write something about a particular topic when that folder starts looking a little full.  Multiple copies in multiple folders allow me to sort ambiguous articles. (Does a low sugar diet article go in "Diabetes" "Diet" or "Nutrition"?  All three!)
Then there's always the miscellaneous category that covers things like blogging minutiae.
For those of you who leave comments, I'd like to invite you to drop in the next week.  I normally log in to Soulcast once on the weekend.  When I do, I write the next article and I reply to any comments left since the previous week.  If any of you stop by and are troubled that I don't reply, this is the reason.  I respond to everybody and if you want to leave a comment on an older post, drop me a message and I can respond to both the message and the comment.

Organization is all relative.  The notes are still a little haphazard, but they're much better than they were.

Setting aside the time is the tough part.
Life's priorities almost always trump the niceties of neatness.

There's a fun book out called "The Perfect Mess".  It highlights the limitations of organization despite society's esteem for it.
