We have been recycling human waste in the cities for awhile. You see, they just filter it with all kinds of chemicals and resell it back to you. This is not funny. I buy distill water. The water here is very hard, lots of lime. Good on the kidney, huh.
Well, hope you have a great day! I've got 30 mins left to visit and off to work i go. So, take care. ~see ya
Everytime I think I've heard it all.... I would have to be pretty desperate to drink it, but then, maybe someday I might be. I didn't understand the part about using grey water and exhaled breath to make water in space. Weird!
Mr W. used to (for a short while) work as a water treatment ---what? Specialist? Hardly, but he was responsible for handling the waste in a plant. He tested the tap water they used to make coffee against the water he had "treated" and guess which was cleaner by far? The treated water, of course!
When you think about it, it isn't all that new. The army has for years had their portable water filtration plants which they can use to make drinking water out of any source of water, regardless how filthy.
An for space travel it makes perfect sense to me. It cuts down on the amount of drinking water they need to stow aboard at the beginning of the flight, thereby reducing weight for lift off. Water is pretty heavy.
soaring
you are out mustering and you are thirsty and you come to a cristle clear stream and you have a big drink of cool water and you let your horse drink then mount up and ride up stream and behold about 100 yards on there is what we used to say ''a deadie lying in the water no longer whole but melting away in the cristle clear water'' what can you do but suck your guts in and just ride on .i m o its in our minds what is clean and what is not and water is going to be an issue that can't be ignored.
blue.
That is disgusting but it's probably something that's been going on for along time.
Maybe we should just drink out of the water supplied to our bath tubs and showers. It's cleaner right ?
scipio ~ I would still have a hard time swallowing that!
hotaka ~ we humans (or most of us anyway) are so abiding aren't we?
Cman ~ I think that is what they are calling the "grey water".. It is probably just as "pure" as the socalled bottled "spring water" people pay for. I myself have drank/drunk.. out of a stream when I was a kind many many times.
