It looks pitiful, but it's planted.

My husband agreed to make me a garden spot.  I haven't had one in a few years, so we started this adventure in a new spot in a place in the backyard where I am hoping none of the dufuses around here will park a tractor on it.

Anyway...

Yesterday, my husband comes in and proudly announces that the spot is ready.  I go outside and he has made a perfect circle!  I asked him why he made it in a circle.  He said that is just how it turned out.  (I fear he is an alien confused about crop circles.)  I grumbled and went ahead and planted the darn thing.

It's small.  I have three hills of cucumbers, three small rows of okra, and six tomato plants.  It's on a flat area not too far from the back of the house.  I wanted to be sure of that because I tend to lose my balance a little easier on uneven ground.

I'll let you know how my little crop circle progresses.

i gotta confess, CW, i find that positively hysterical! so wait, how are you going to use the plot? traditionally, i know gardens are divided into rows. ?

    queen,
I'll try to remember to do that.

    Ed,
I have three straight rows down the center where I have planted okra.  The rest of the space is tomatoes and cucumbers.  I've put trellises around them so they aren't in rows.  Had no choice but to do it that way.  It isn't pretty, but it's planted.  It's one of those things were it's better to laugh than cry about.
