I'm interested in what you all do for work...is it just blogging or do you have a job too?
I guess I'm wondering what kind of professions are drawn to blogging.
I'm in marketing, so I love sharing ideas, inspiration and the process of communicating in general.

What do you do?

Hi meggs, I'm a Special Education Teacher. I love to work with kids and I love my job. I started my blog to encourage cargivers with special needs to hopefully meet here and form a community of support. I'm kinda new to blogging as well. So learning from the rest here. Take care.

I've been a tech writer for a large telecommunications company for the past 15 years or so. Welcome Meggs.

I teach writing, primarily technical writing. I also am a communication consultant for some smaller companies where I do all kinds of writing for them.

I do enjoy it. It's creative if you can believe it. I've seen alot of changes with technology over the past 20 years. It's almost unbelievable where that's gone and how quickly. One of the worst things I've seen is the outsourcing of so many programming jobs to other countries. I've seen professionals and friends 'downsized'...and the effects of that on real human lives....over and over and over. Oh well, that's a blog in itself

The only time I get to blog is on my spare time. As I'm between career shifts, I'm able to do Soulcast for an average of 3 hours a day. When I already have a regular job, I'll probably just have an hour to spare. But hey it's quality time that counts!

Zayda is a technical writer also...tell me - what is the difference between technical writing and general writing?
  • meggs said on Aug 12, 2006....
Hi cess, yes, I was pleased to see you work in marketing...perhaps we can share some inventive ideas!
  • meggs said on Aug 12, 2006....
Yes, FaithfulDisciple - quality time is hard to find but when I do, I blog.....I love blogging...seem to spend way too much time on it of late though!

Well for the past three years I have been a mother and housewife, but due to my recent split with my husband I am a single mother now. When I return to the states I plan on continuing with my education and working so I can support my family. I blog to vent and put out my thoughts and views on life and to read what is going on else where in this great wide world that we live in.....
