A Butt Monkey For President?

I saw Borax on CNN today. It made me wonder ... do we really want a
president that looks like a butt monkey? Really?
And speaking of butts, do we want a first lady with a butt as big as
the one on Borax's wife? She got junk in the trunk. (As well as junk
in her mouth.)
Sorry, but this all makes about as much sense as some of the crap
that liberals say about conservatives. Watch Jon Stewart or Steven
Cobert and you will see what I mean. Or watch CNN or MSNBC or
CNBC or NBC.

Since I neither know nor have read ALIENated since my arrival here at SoulCast I really cannot comment on the issue at hand.

What I am doing actually is following through on a resolve.  I resolved to, for the next week at least, when I sign on to hit the home tab, then hit most recent, read and comment to the first five posts on that list. This is number four.  So far so good, right?

As per said resolve, I have read and  commented.

I may go find this ALIENated character and find out for myself what he is all about.

ALIEN is a great guy, he just knows what to say to get attention.  Heck half the time he's not half as good at it as I am.  And who in the nine hells are you?

    Ha Ha Ha

As one who frequently enjoys verbal jousting with the Alien, I have to agree with Sean, he does know how to push buttons, and at the end of the day niether of them do it as good as me. And where did that ninth hell come from Sean???

I simply have no clue who this nobody is that is complaining about ALIEN.  And when have you been even moderatly controversial?  My creds are perfect.

Also I say weird things like where in the nine hells
  • Cussane said on May 13, 2008....
I would like to think some of my posts and replies have been controversial, maybe in a Canadian way. just curious about the ninth hell seeing as I have probably lived in the other 8 Cussane
  • soaringraven said on May 13, 2008....

Ok Sean and Cussane back to your respective corners.

Oh! Wait you're both in the same corner.  Now who's in the other corner?

Ah! I see No one.  He ducked out and hasn't been back since.

Ok. Issue resolved.  For now anyway.

I still haven't found ALIEN, I guess I haven't looked hard enought yet.  Sounds like someone I would like to entertain although.

Maybe you've seen the news today about the monkey T-shirt "promoting" Obama? Perhaps you're unaware of the relationship this bears to historic white supremist portrayals of blacks as jungle monkeys. Perhaps you're naive enough to believe that anyone who didn't believe this (and is educated at all) would say it to "push buttons." How do you KNOW he doesn't believe it. Why don't you care? These are questions you "somebodies" might ask yourselves if you ever experience a truly reflective moment. It's a big world and you're just a tiny little part of it. What's the difference between a duck and a small feathered creature with web feet and a bill that goes "quack?"

Enjoy having your buttons pushed when the time comes.

From the news - (google Obama, monkey, T shirt)
« next »god damn america Rednecks Enjoy 'Obama Monkey' T-ShirtHere's the latest cuteness from America's fat dumb racists: It is a t-shirt, stealing the trademarked children's character "Curious George," with the addition of a possibly insincere "Obama in '08" slogan. Get it, because black people are like monkeys! Jesus fucking christ. Can we just have Robert Byrd give his Klan robe to Hillary and get it over with? Burn a cross on the White House lawn and call it a day? [Op-Ed News]

Adults don't let their buttons get pushed.  And being racist is you know a first amendment right.  So it don't really matter about the monkey shirts.

  • SeanRenaud said on May 16, 2008....
I didn't say you wanted to shut down ALIEN.  But the only reason anybody would bring up those cute little primate tees with the porchmonkey President Potetial up is if they wanted to stop them from being made.  I mean otherwise they really hold NO relevance to the situation at all.

Anybody who's read ALIEN knows he's not a racist, he just knows how to get your attention.

Come on now Sean, what is up with your mind? You sound hasty. A bit careless. Can't you come up with any other reasons to mention long-standing racial stereotypes being used in modern day campaigns? Honestly, if idiots want to brand themselves and make it easier for the rest of us to recognize their severe limitations, I'm not trying to stop it. Hell, it's a public service. Quack quack.

Well the dreaded R word, the last refuge of the left, a couple of points 1. You may have read alien and sean that does not make them racist, it makes it your opinion that they are racist, seeing as you have not met them you can hardly say they are racist 2. Just because someone agrees with or disagrees with what is on a t shirt only reflects thier view of whats on that t shirt to expand it to the all encompassing universe is just silly, 3. Read the bill of rights, then try to restate your point, 4. I would do CR 5. Grow the fuck up, its a damm t-shirt well gota go clean the gun and stock the bunker Cussane
  • SeanRenaud said on May 18, 2008....
I hate to hang myself when somebody just cute the rope but unfortunately honesty is one of my main points.

    1. Human beings are racist, sexist and a whole list of isms that aren't even on the least.

    2. Sure I'm racist and sexist, I'm open and honest about what I think and why I think that.

    3. I'm sure ALIEN has his prejudices, but he doesn't (IMX) bear any hard feelings toward any particular race.

    4.  Have you ever truly considered the nature of racism?  Granted, it is unlikely (to the point of being impossible) that the man made a monkey t-shirt for Obama without thinking black=monkey.  But the fact that you are able to make that same connection makes you a racist.  Racist doesn't mean you hate.  It means you believe there are differences.

If you've ever wondered, for one single second why there are more black in the NBA than whites, or why more whites are Quarterbacks.  Guess what you considered a person's race as an important factor in what they were capable of.  You're a racist.  Get over it.
  • sheltercrow said on May 18, 2008....
I can never really understand what you write, as written, let's fix this...

If you've ever wondered, for one single second, why there are more blacks in the NBA than whites, or why more whites are Quarterbacks, guess what, you're a racist.

If you've ever considered a person's race as an important factor in what they were capable of, you're a racist.

    Get over it.

Is this what you were trying to write Mr. superior?

  • SeanRenaud said on May 18, 2008....
ROFL.  Obviously you understood it just fine, and uh I'm reading it again and it makes perfect sense as is.  Also it's funny that while you're making fun of me you never even attempt to denounce the facts that I put forth.
  • sheltercrow said on May 18, 2008....
I personally cannot fathom why anyone would comment on anything you write other than to correct the sentence structure and spelling.

If you actually read a lot of Alien you would discover he is not a racist, although if a public figure called Obama a butt monkey the lib media would have a field day with that.  I think the term butt monkey is more of an observation of his ears, not his race.

Sean is not a rightwinger and he is not a leftwinger, he is most of the time in the middle.  He'd hate to admit he leans more to the right than the left though. :>

Sorry, but this all makes about as much sense as some of the crap
        that liberals say about conservatives.

I hate it when someone makes it this easy. Grow a brain.

And I am pretty sure Sean is black. Oblahma is only half black, so I guess
that would make me half a racist. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

And actually less that half since I am part American Indian. ha ha ha ha ha

Why would anyone with a brain think a certain way about someone simply
because their skin is a certain shade? Think about it. I do not even hate
Mr. Oblahma. I do however hate his liberal / socialist politics. I would never
vote for the guy for that reason alone. I you plan to vote for him because
his is (half) black, then I would have to wonder which of us is the real
    racist.

By the way, I wrote that post after watching the John Stewart and Stephen
Cobert shows one night. I was thinking how liberals say anything they want
about conservatives and no one cares. Someone can say one thing about a
liberal / Democrat and all hell breaks loose. That is a lot of what conservative
talk radio is all about ... turning the tables. Liberals have had free reign in the
media for decades. Rush showed conservatives that the days of Mr. Nice Guy
are gone if we want to save this country.

It would be terribly painful for Sheltercrow to prove that, he would actually have to read something.
  • SeanRenaud said on Jun 24, 2008....
Part of the election is about race and sex.  Obama is black, Hillary is a woman.  Racism and sexism exist.  The Democrats didn't make this over race (if they'd had there way Hillary would have wrapped this thing up by Valentines day) so they could call Republicans racists.  Republicans didn't make this into a race issue by claiming to be "above" bringing race into an issue.

Lets all be grown ups now.  Race is an issue.  My being black DOES mean that I have certain different experiences.  I get discriminated against, and discriminated for.  I got into my middle school partially on Affirmative Action.  I've had Security Gaurds tail me in stores, I've walked through a crowd and not two steps behind me one of my friends got jumped, I've gotten into fights with people I didn't know because the blacks and the mexicans were having a dispute that I was unaware of, I've benefited from getting certain business because brothers should help each other out when they can.

Race IS an issue.  It shouldn't be, but it is.

    Okay Einstein

How does saying "Sorry, but this all makes...conservatives" explain your honest stance on the subject? "It makes as much sense..." - So do you think it makes any sense in the FIRST place? Nothing in the original post mentions it. Ambiguous at best, or perhaps worst. Sarcasm translates poorly to the written word. You're an experienced enough writer to know what you're sending out - and your loophole exit wasn't big enough to squeeze back out of on this one.

Historically, some Christians have interpreted the Biblical passages so that
the "mark" is thought to be part of the "curse". In 18th century America
and Europe, it was commonly assumed that Cain's "mark" was black skin,
and that Cain's descendants were black and still under Cain's curse.
Accepting the theory that God had cursed black people, some have used
the curse as a Biblical justification for racism. These racial and ethnic
interpretations of the curse and the mark have been largely abandoned
even by the most conservative theologians since the mid-20th century,
although the theory still has some following among white supremacists
and an older generation of whites, as well as a very small minority of
        Christian churches.

Sean-Race is an important issue.  A problem is there are people in our society that play the race card to gain an advantage.  Don Imus, he was practically run out town.  Imus may be a racist, he is certainly an asshole.  But compare Imus to the neo-nazi movement in the country.  There are true racists in this country that never get attention or mentioned in the news.
