well mothers day has passed and i am trying to catch up on sleep, the books at the thrift shop, and my cards. my 12 hour shift went......by the end of it my brain was much. i fell asleep in my chair half hour after i got home.  am just glad its over. hard to have a life when working 10 and 12 hour shifts.  my younest came over for mothers day. the oldest stayed at his new place with his family.  they youngest will take me out for dinner this week too. sunday is always too dam busy to go out . we never go out for dinner on mothers day, to dam busy... i dont like crowded places as it is.  
 
while working i brought in some of my cards to work on. tracing my logo on to the back..i got about a hundred done during the week.....not bad i thought..now i am spending some time and painting them all . inbetween the orders. painting them now will save me time later i think.
 
i have come to the conclusion i dont want to work for anyone else anymore. i enjoy setting me hours and doing what i need to during the day.  and if i need time off .......is no hassle....and i pace my self and still get alot of work done as well as some house work....
 
i did some weeding today. the front garden didnt take long. but the one i started last yr was full. i bought some edging today to put around it this weekend. the kid is going to help me. i also need to buy alot of dirt to go in it.. and then i get to buy more flowers.....i am looking forward to that part. my tulips are starting to bloom.....all sorts of colours. looks really pretty.  i also still have to transplant the wild rose too. thought not much of it survived the winter.  one thing at a time......i am planning on enjoying this summer........and maybe even going outside more...........

    se...it just takes a little more time to figure out what you want to do when you grow up....lol...
    sounds like my life, when you actually have days off, you work your ass off trying to play catch up on everything else.
    I have been playing around in the dirt, have a lot of ideas, but the ambition is flagging a little, looks good in my head, now just to be able to have the energy to actually do it.

    ha ha your playing in the dirt and i am picking bugs off my lilies........i was told they are called lily bugs. i went to the green house and they said use this bug stuff...of course i have to use it when its NOT raining. the kid is going to build the new planter for me. i just need alot more dirt then what i bought today. ALOT more. probly another 10 bags. will be filling things for some time as well as picking bugs. keeps me out of trouble i guess. i also have a request for a donation of my work. seems an agency is doing a fund raiser and wants some of my work. i am still thinking about it....what do u think ....should i give some..???

    As in your litle stufties you were making? sure, dont know what canada is like for taxes, but go far a tax credit if they have that, and of course some kind of honorable mention, get your name out there, put labels on them, the "made by" type of labels.
    I was out ther playing in the dirt some more, I have a spot up by the house I dug the weeds out of, havent planted anything since the year I put roses out there and none of them lived, think they were just cheap ass roses from menards..I am thinking Daiseys, lots and lots of daiseys....!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    My peoneys came up, the ones a coworker gave me late last year, they are een going to flower I think, nothing big, but atleast it shows they took and weathered this god awful winter we had.

    it was not my toys that where asked for it was my cards. i am still thinking about it. so far no response from the person who asked for them to my questions. maybe they dont want them that bad.
     
    my son was supposed to be working on a garden bed for me this weekend. dont think it will get done as it has been raining for 2 days. next week i guess. i never had much luck with roses either. i am surprised my wild rose is still kinda alive. you would also try lilies. they come back every yr. and come in many many colours. i like poppies as well. maybe i will put some peonies in the new bed as well...........

    your cards!!! what a way to get exposure, get your stuff out there sure. you do have your name on them like hallmark does dont you.
    We have been getting teased with the rain...gets dark, blows like what and then just a sprinkle, just enuff to put you in the house, then nothing.I wish it would warm up just a bit, 70 would be good, looks like we are going to stay kool for a bit. thats ok, not cold enuff to crank on the furnace though
