So, I got up this morning and made oatmeal and smoothies for my family. The kids whispered to their step-father their plans for the day. It required a trip to the store. So, we went to Wally world where I had to sit in the car. We also made a trip to Kohl's for hubby some work clothes which he doesn't do alone.
They came to my car window eager with their gifts. The first gift was a bunch of red plastic flowers, "Mom, we know how much you like them but, you seem to kill every plant." This is true...it was rather funny. The next gift was assorted Lindor Truffles. Yum! "Mom, every woman needs chocolate for sanity...some need more than others. Here... the whole bag is for you." The next gift was my card. Now, hubby knows that I don't really like cards. I think they are a waste but the kids love to give them and i do enjoy reading their little comments. Which this time was them actually bickering back and forth about whose idea it was to do all this. The next gift was a pair of tinkerbell pajama pants. They are lime green which I love. The last gift was a lime green T-shirt that reads "Mom's taxi service: On Duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week." "We just wanted to remind you of all the things you do for us mom."
I thought the day was to show me how much they appreciated what I do for them. It was quite comical! I love those brats!

that sounds absolutely perfect! I had a similar day...although my girl had us browsing at charlotte ruse, hollister, I almost got my ear pierced again with her as a soul sister thing..but then "I" chickened out at the last minute. I mean how many piercings do I really need? But it was a fun day with my mom, daughter, and my niece. We have a tight little group now that the girls are older. it feels so ooooo good, ya know?

thanks for sharing your day. xo, M

Mamie...It was a great day. Nothing was planned but, they hung out with me all day. They really tried to say the right things but it came out all scrambled. I love those moments.

Last year the girls and I had our belly's pierced for mother's day. What is it with pain and bonding? I think for the next 50 or so years we should all just bond over cheesecake, chocolate, and coffe!

Ahh, it truly is summer here when you spend most of your evenings at the ball park....
for a black eye...
so....i got up at 3am....got to the airport at quarter after four.
plane left at 10 till 6.

the flight was alright.....but as much fun as flying with kids can be under the best circumstances.

i hate that i have no idea what...
I didn't even know what "Jewish" meant. Then I heard one of my best friends at school telling the teacher that he was Jewish. In a little while I brought it up to find out what it meant. "Are you Jewish?" "Yeah. Wanna make somethin' of it?"...
Yeah okay.

That is all....
