Had my first date with M. It was a set-up, which of course was a bad idea. But I’m just that hard up right now. Well truthfully, the proposition was quite convincing. 35 year old doctor, never married, likes opera, has a second home in Lake Forest. Sounds perfect doesn’t it? Well he picked me up in his little 2-seater Mercedes and we headed towards Wicker Park. All was lovely until we got to Jane’s and he wouldn’t valet because he “doesn’t trust them.” It was freezing out and we walked 4 blocks to Jane’s, where it turns out he made reservations for the wrong day. Okay, remain calm, this shit happens, I can thaw out while we wait to get seated. But then when we sat down, he sat right next to me. In a BOOTH. The icing on the cake was when he leaned over and tried to maul me in the car in front of my apartment. No words to describe the night, but easily one of my top 10 worst dates. Are there ANY normal men out there?

Yeah, most men are kind of strange. On the bright side, you found out about his little "quirks" on the first date so you don't have to waste any more of your time on him. Have you tried using match.com? Then you can pre-screen your "candidates". I had good luck with match; that's where I met my husband! -

I have to be honest. After reading your blogs. Not knowing what you look like or anything. I doubt if I would ask you for a date online. But I'm in England - so not likely anyway. But you have to be more tolerant. You also have to unlearn some of the stuff you have learnt in the past. You are obviously, attracted to the wrong kind of guy or extremely desperate. There is no such thing as normal and certainly no such thing as perfect. The best you can hope for is a guy who will like you and maybe after you get to know each other even love you. A while ago, I tried to think of a guy for a young girl in my family to date and I thought much the same as you! Where can I find a guy as nice as me! lol. I couldn't - we're as rare as chicken's teeth - but keep trying!

Hah I got an e-mail bout the worst date the other day, and if it wasn't so long, I'd have pasted it here.
I suppose I'm one of the lucky ones who got an awesome boyfriend. No weirdness - he respects me for me, and I think he believes in me more than I believe in myself.

This has to do with women of the Gulf coast, around Fl, Al, Ms.You have to love em, there usually nicley shaped with nice tan's, and that southern accent just sweeps you off your feet. My preference is the brunettes, there the sexiest but yes blond... read entire post
