My 11yr old says:"Mom I got you something so special for mother's day. He then turns to the 9yrold and says:" I got mom a present what did you get her? 9yrold says:My Love! The 11yrold then says:"That's it?" And the 9yrold says:"What do you want i'm only 9 and we didn't make anything yet my teachers' out sick!

Really cute. I love watching young ones stick up for their rights.
I remember fielding questions and moments like this: times 4 or 6, as there were 12 and then 8... but... I would let the comments go round, and then add in something like, "Love is the greatest gift anyone could ask for": I always try to keep the shortest ones feelings in tact.
