last night about 3am littlest comes in my room crying......
apparently she'd poked herself in the eye.

well, she fell right back asleep so i didn't worry about it.
well, this morning about 8 am she woke up just screaming about her eye hurting.
so i looked at it and it was really red and bloodshot and swollen.

so...off to the emergency room before breakfast even.

turns out....SOMEHOW....in her SLEEP even....she scratched her eye.
she has a quarter inch scratch on the iris.

and THEN....we went to the grocery store to fill the prescription.
and she was riding in one of the car carts the grocery store had and got her finger caught in the seat belt.......so now she has a blood blister on her finger.

and she has to have drops in her eye every four hours.....and it's like putting a cat in a pair of pajamas trying to get the drops in.

argggg. anyway.
i'm feeling better finally! ....still coughing.....but minus the queasy stomach is a HUGE improvement.

I am glad you are feeling better. Too bad about the little one...seems like she might just have her mommie's luck! She can't just have one thing going on, now can she? How would she ever keep up with you?
You know you have been to the ER too much when they already check you in before you make it to the counter! I have had that happen.

eeeekkk reminds me of my eye problem, at least scratches heal quick on your eye, heres hoping hers does.

Its clutz center here isn't it.... must be clutz month...

*laughing* we haven't had THAT happen yet.......but we're getting to know the doctors.
it's the receptionists that don't know us yet.

*laughing* um....i think clutzyness is inheritable.

mom says she's ten times as intense as i am.......she gets into bigger problems...but tends to get out of them easier too.

Poor thing!  I hope it gets better fast.  I had to laugh at your "cat in pajamas" line...I'm a grownup and I still get squirmy when someone else puts drops in my eyes (like at the doctor's).

I had an uncle with a propensity for getting into trouble.  He wasn't particularly klutzy, he was just one of those kids whose "DANGER WILL ROBINSON" alarm didn't go off quite as soon as the rest of the world ;)  Things like hiding under the diving board in the pool to "surprise" a friend who was at that moment taking a dive...so of course the board cracks him on the head as the friend jumps.

My grandmother was fairly well-recognized at the ER, let's say.  At least you're not to that point yet!

    queen...well...seems that its' healed.
YAY......getting those drops in was an exercise in frustration. JEEZ!

juangomez....i've learned not to be scared with her....if i wasscared every time she gets herself in trouble i'd die of an ulcer.

    nytquill......see....that's it exactly!
my oldest and youngest both have the lack of warning bells.....the littlest one MUCH more so than any other kid i've ever met.
i'm just amazed that she so rarely actually gets hurt though......and then she hurts herself in the middle of the night. while she's SLEEPING!

give us a few years....i'm sure they'll know us on sight.

Oh, your poor little girl. . .its so horrible when they get hurt over and over again in a day.  It has been "one of those weekends" with Tigger too.  He is all bruises and scrapes on elbows, knees and shins!  Us moms just need to be patient, but I do know how difficult it is to stay patient and compassionate when you yourself are feeling grotty.

    Strength to you!

she was leaning over the back corner of the couch this morning......trying to reach something on the floor .....and slipped a little too far.....i hear this little voice  coming from behind the couch

"a little help here?"  *giggling* and i see legs from the knee down sticking straight up in the air, she was stuck between the couch, the wall and the lamp.

she only had two choices.....slip down farther and fall on her head...it's kind of a tall couch......or stay there and wait.

i just thought it was funny how calm cool and collected she sounded asking for some help.

o fallyn...i can't imagine how it's possible she scratched her eye in her sleep! yeesh...wait, how can they be sure she didn't do that when she poked herself in the middle of the night?

i too am bad about eyedrops, even as a grownup. :> and of course i'm glad you're feeling better. :>

How Kids Think....
Art is different for kids than it is for adults. It is very important for children to be able to create arts and crafts on their own without copying from an adults model...
She's 28. She's mentioned in my last blog, about a really good day.

Today I met her daughter. Her son is seven, who I haven't met yet. I'm sure we'll get on fine, I have a stepdad who was pretty awesome when him and my mum started out. We're ...
my eye rolling teenager...
Told you I'd get around to it...
