  I am assuming you are in the States and referring to the tax relief check? In which case I'll shall be using mine for the same thing.

  My television just died last night (the reason why is a post in itself). And my two vcr/dvd combos are on the brink. What upsets me the most about that is that both players are not even two years old. They simply do not make things like they used to. (And yes, I will end my sentence with a preposition!). :)

  I find this check mail-out to be frickin' hilarious!  We have a president that has bookended his career by sending out miniscule checks to the public as one would pass out band-aids on a battlefield.
  
  
  So, my question back is what did you do with your first check?  Did you invest it and make a killing?  Ha ha ha!  I'll tell you what I did with my measly $300 the first time around.  I spent it on rent.  What a useless gesture that payout was.  The government could have done much more for us by spending it collectively on health care.

  It will be much smaller than the real estate tax I just paid for the quarter. I'll deposit it and try to stop the hemorrhaging in my checking account.

  going to pay for a photographer for my daughters wedding....well at least for part of it anyway....I think I'm getting 1200....but the photographer is 1650 :(

  wow! lots of different responses here! good thing we are getting that check then! My Tv has so much fog on it, i can't hardly see the picture, and my vcr doesn't work at all. guess JadeLondon and mine is going for the same thing.  thanks everyone for responding, i was curious.
