While everyone immediately condems Israel, the same everyone who don't give a damn or half a damn when Israeli children are murdered by the Hamas or Hizballa, for Jewish blood is still cheap in this world, there is the other side to the story. Hamas loves to send out their rockets from residential neighborhoods, just like the Hizballah. This way they guarantee that non combatants are killed and they get their knee jerk sympathy and anger reactions by the UN (liars by trade it seems, see blog below) and from the "love me I'm a liberal types", and the anti-semites of all stripes and colors.

So just for the record, people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, and people who use their civilians as sitting ducks should have no right to blame others for their own deaths. And if you ask me if I feel sorry for these kids, I'll tell you guys, when they stop passing out candy when our people are murdered, when they stop teaching hate, when they regret voting in the Hamas or kowtowing to the Hizballah, I might find a few tears, but until then, no way.

"IDF: Gazan mother and four children killed by Palestinian explosives

April 28, 2008, 7:43 PM (GMT+02:00)

Israel forces push rocket-launchers, snipers back from border

They died when two Palestinians carrying arms and large explosive charges were hit near the family’s home in Beit Hanoun by an Israeli air attack shortly before the launched themselves against Israeli troops. The family was killed when the explosives blew up.

DEBKAfile's military sources report Israeli patrol forces entered the Gaza side of the Erez crossing Mon. April 28 for an operation to keep armed infiltrators, missile-launchers and snipers away from the border fence.

Following their clash with Palestinian gunmen, 7 people were killed including four children and their mother. Israeli defense minister Ehud Barak held Hamas and its tactics responsible for their deaths.

Two Israeli soldiers were slightly hurt in the day's battles. Islamic Jihad and two other Palestinian factions said they launched several rockets before and after the home in Beit Hanoun was hit.

Hamas retaliated by blasting Sderot, Ashkelon, Netav Ha’asara in the north and Kerem Shalom in the south with at least 11 missiles and mortar fire. A woman was injured falling over in her rush for shelter. Several shock victims were treated. Netiv Ha’asara was hit by heavy 120mm mortars. The Israeli air force went into action twice.

All the civilian locations bordering on Gaza went on high alert for marauding terrorists.

In the last two weeks, Hamas gunmen breached the border fence four times with fatal results. One incident, a major armored vehicle attack on Israeli civilians at Kerem Shalom, was foiled ten days ago.

I am sorry for the children on both sides that die. I am very sorry my friend. And I feel how hurt you are. I am not surprised.

Hi, Skald, thank you for your comment.

Today, as usual the Hamas tried to kill our children as they fired shells when the kids were going to school, when they were the most vulnerable. Here is a quote from the Jerusalem Post about this morning in the Negev:

"Gaza terrorists resumed their attacks on the western Negev just as children were making their way to school.

One of four Kassam rockets that struck Sderot hit a home in the town, causing damage and sending three people into shock.

No one was wounded in the morning attacks".

G-d is protecting us, but we are told 'not to trust to miracles' to protect ourselves.

When it makes big headlines in the New York Times, CNN, BBC, The London Times, about Arabs shelling Jews, or Arabs killing Jews, and not the other way around, then maybe I'll believe that the world has come to its correction. But now, very little has changed in the last two thousand years, and Israel has no one to trust except The Holy One Blessed Be He. I wish we had a few politicians here that understood that and would stop ass-licking George W. Bush, who is no friend of ours,( and not a great defender of the US either from what I've been reading).

Sorry Trinov. It is bad that children and civilians from both sides are killed. Some years ago the press was with Israel and now it is the other way around . We just hear about the Arabs suffering. I say there has to be some sort of a solution but as you know I could not give that solution. I am just a ignorant woman. I am very sorry for this and all war that goes on in the world. You are right nothing has changed in two thousand years. Only we have better weapons now. May god be with the man kind. May it stop war fairing someday. My best to  you and your people.

In our teachings, there is a time that there will be no more war, and all the energy of mankind will be used for improvement of the world and of the quality of life. But we are not there yet. If we think of all the energy put into killing machines, and how little is put into medical research and the actualizing of medical research, well, anyone from the Galactic Civilization out there must think we are all total idiots. Ditto with alternate fuels and motors, ditto with methods of education, for ways of getting everyone employed in a safe and satisfactory job,--we seem to be going backwards on all the important issues world wide.

Trinov.  You are so right. I don't like the evolution in the last years in education. Just thinking of jobs and no spiritual values. People saying they are educating them for the market or the country and therefore it should pay them back. Don't get me wrong I think people should get paid well for their jobs, what ever their jobs are, They are all important but the society has to be able to afford it. I thinks we educate our selfs for us and not others and that it is a privilege.  Of course every one should have the opportunities to educate them to what their mind is declined to.
Iceland is a land without army and wants peace but I know that in this world it is  not realistic  not yet to be without some defenses.

The US defended us but when it did not suit them to be here any more they went. Many people had said all the time that they were there just for them selfs. Now that the cold war is over they went. We have been a part of Nato from the beginning.
I can understand what your  country has to go through but I also understand that the others. Not completely, neither of you but I try to. Well I do hope for a world without war but as you say,. Mankind is not ready.

Hi, Yes I agree with you about the whole emphasis on hi-tech education, which produces technocrats but not all round educated people who can see the whole picture.

And Globalization, as it is being forces upon us,is now going to bring famine to many parts of the world--nd death--in India tens of thousands of cotton farmers are committing suicide because of the dept that globalization has caused them--so cotton prices will go up higher.

The question is : who benefits from Globalization besides the very rich and their companies? For local industries have disappeared in our country, and we get cheaply made goods from China, where they are found to be using child labor--slave labor!

So I am hoping that families and neighbors can take back some of the economic power, and that the workers can somehow buy whatever factories that are in danger of closing--this happened a few times in the US and in Israel, but recently a good clothing factory closed in Israel and the head of the ex-factory died of a heart attack while devoting himself to finding jobs for the 300 workers who were fired!

As for the first topic of this blog, the Hebrew edition of Ynet says that army has photographed proof that this Arab mother and her children were not killed by Israeli fire, but a terrorist exploding with his explosives,--what is called in the middle east as a 'work accident'. I'll put it on the blog as soon as the English edition is up, if it comes before Shabbat, when I cannot use any electrical appliance, including computers.
