I don't get it? How much do they pay you per click and who is it thats is paying you? Could some random person just pay someone to sit around and click that button over and over again? It must be .5 cents a click.

• SoulCast said on May 11, 2006....
How do I get paid to blog, you ask? It's actually very simple, and well worth it. After all, if you're going to blog anyway, why not get paid? SoulCast makes it easy to make money while you blog with the help of Google's AdSense service. Through AdSense, you are able to automatically place relevant ads on your blog. These ads generate revenue for you every time a user clicks on your ad. The money generated is paid into your AdSense account. First of all, if you don't have a Google AdSense account, you'll need to create one in order to start making money. Sign up for your Google AdSense ID here: http://www.soulcast.com/page/adsense/ It's fast and painless to sign up. Once you have your Google AdSense ID number, all you need to do is go into your "My Profile" section of SoulCast, and enter your Google AdSense ID number into the correct field. After doing this, your SoulCast blog will automatically start generating ads! Ads that are relevant to the content of your posts will begin to appear. The Google ads that are displayed on your content pages can be either cost-per-click (CPC) or cost-per-1000-impressions (CPM) ads. Every time a reader clicks on an ad on your page, you'll make money! This means that advertisers pay either when users click on ads, or when the advertiser's ad is shown on your site. You'll receive a portion of the amount paid for either activity on your website. Depending on the type of ad, you can make anywhere from $0.02-$1.00 per click. There's no cost, no obligation, and getting started is quick and easy. You can even check your clicks and revenue generated on Google's reporting system. Google will pay you through your bank account or with a check. Oh, and here's a small but important note: Google has a strict policy against solicited clicks, meaning don't click on your own ads and don't get someone to click on your ads for you in a way that is fraudulent. This can result in your account being suspended. Honest clicks only!

It's funny how some folks have come forth with skepticism about the getting paid. Well it's true, you really can get paid to blog! As we mentioned in the previous comment, if you have a popular blog and you follow the rules, you can make money. It's one of those little secrets that has been catching more momentum in the last couple years among the general public, and it's a wonder why it's not more prevalent. Remember when eBay first came out? It was a bit daunting. Nowadays, who isn't on eBay, right? There are a lot of people blogging out there, and the blogosphere is only growing larger every day. Heck, if people will blog for free, then they'll blog for money. After all, as we like to say around here, if you're going to blog anyway, why not get paid?

Great question about traffic to the site. Our site works in a very simple way. As we continue to grow, the content that our community creates will bring more traffic to the site as whole. As more people create interesting blogs, more people will join and when more people join, the more clicks AdSense users will get on their ads. It's more of an organic approach to getting traffic, but we feel that word-of-mouth advertising will be a huge component of future SoulCast traffic and growth. And while we're on the topic of AdSense, I wanted to let you all know that for all new users who have AdSense on SoulCast, we are offering full click profits for the first 60 days after you sign up for a SoulCast account. Normally, your AdSense revenue is shared with SoulCast, and Google determines this percentage. But for the first 60s days, new SoulCast users get all of the profits from clicks to their ads on their blog. So if you're interested in getting paid to blog, and you haven't already signed up, then get your Google AdSense today. Sign up for your Google AdSense ID here: http://www.soulcast.com/page/adsense/, then upload your AdSense ID on your "Edit My Profile" page.

So if you have the account, you don't have to get the codes for ads? cause I do see the little bits of ads around the site and those are linked to the current user that you are on, is it like that? I think I got it, but I wanna make sure that I have it right.
• Ligarius said on May 24, 2006....
H_Zula, if you dont put you code adsense, the ads that you see is soulcast.com ads not soulcast.com/h_zula ads its works
• SoulCast said on May 25, 2006....
If you already have AdSense, you should already have your ID. Just enter your ID into the AdSense field on your "Edit Profile" page. Ads will begin to appear on your blog shortly after. And normally, the ads will be a combination of your ads as well as SoulCast's ads. So not every single click to an ad on your blog may generate full revenue for you. Some clicks may belong to our ads. BUT, for the first 60 days of opening a your SoulCast account, all revenue generated from clicks to ads on your blog will go to you.

To "artist," yes, SoulCast isn't the typical blog site, where you can customize many aspects to your whim, and network via photos or email addresses. SoulCast is a community that exists to make meaningful connections through anonymity. It's a different kind of concept, but we felt that it was a necessary one in the blogosphere, especially with today's privacy issues such as ||{1}||. There are many other sites out that will allow you to post images, and while many SoulCast members also have other blogs on other websites, they find a different kind of blogging experience here on SoulCast. You're free to choose whatever site you wish to blog on. As for deleting your account, we suggest you delete all your posts on your blog, then email info@soulcast.com to have us delete your account.

I just posted this blog on my page. "AdSense is NonSense and make NoSense I originally created this blog under the pretense that I would get paid to do so. I found this under Monster.com and received an e-mail that I had been chosen to fill this job position and make money. I have yet to create any sort of cash-flow regardless of myself or anyone else clicking the advertisements on my page. AdSense asked for an extensive amount of personal identification materials in order for me to sign up with them and I obliged. They have yet to pull through on their of the bargain and I am honestly really pissed off about it. In four words: This is Fucked Up To SoulCast: If you are going to post JOBS on monster.com... a job-networking resource, then you should also pull through on your word or be visited by the BBB.
• writerlydreams said on Jul 07, 2006....
I wanted to point out to many out there that remember blogging for google may actually take some time. But if you are persistant and blog every day you will start earning money. But you need to be conversational to get others interested what you are saying. You could post 100 articles, but if no one reads your page it won't matter. I have been making money from google, not very much but it's money. I do plan on getting more serious about it though.
• anonymous said on Jul 09, 2006....
I can't see why I am going to blog here anyways because after the first 60 days, I wouldn't really know whether the ads appearing on my blog are actually linked to my google adsense id or that of soulcast's. Google adsense allows one to place as many as 3 text/image ads UNITS & 1 link ad UNIT on each web page. As I would not have any control on the source code of the page, I won't really know whether any of those ads appearing on my blog are at all linked to my unique adsence id! And another thing. Soulcast said on 22 May: "Normally, your AdSense revenue is shared with SoulCast, and Google determines this percentage." Now THAT'S A BIG LIE. GOOGLE DOES NOT DETERMINE ANY PERCENTAGE AT ALL. EACH GOOGLE AD UNIT HAS A UNIQUE GOOGLE ADSENSE ID LINKED TO IT.YOU SIMPLY PUT THE ADSENSE CODE ON THE SOURCE CODE OF YOUR WEB PAGE, & ALL THE REVENUE GENERATED FROM THAT AD IS CREDITED TO THE ACOOUNT WITH THE ADSENSE ID THAT WAS PRESENT IN THE GOOGLE ADSENSE CODE!!! So if SOULCAST actually decides to place 90% ads having their own Google Adsense Id & the remaining 10% that of mine, then surely it's not a fair deal for me. Moreover I don't see why Soulcast would have to lie regarding that percentage thing. There are a lot of blogs out there which let's you view your source code of your your blog so that you can be sure that any click on any ad on your ad generates revenue only for you always and not for the blog owner. AND YES! THEY ARE ALL FREE AND LETS YOU KEEP YOUR IDENTITY PRIVATE. www.b*****r.com is such a site.( I won't mention the site's name here as I'm not sure if it's allowed. Search "blog" on goggle & you will find the name.) Moreover placing adsense ads is also fully automated there. But you get to keep all/any of the money you make. A last word. Blogging regularly does attract visitors to your site and if you can do this regularly for a good amount of time ( more than six months), you will steadily start making a tidy sum a month. (Don't expect more than $10 a month during the first few months) So yes, it's not a JOB as such and labelling it as one is not appropriate. Happy BLOGGING!!

I see my last post 7 days ago some queries. Okay, this is going to be my last post on this website. I see many of you are finding it difficult to get the google client id. This is actually not the id you will get from google after making some money( $50 or somethng). Sign in to the google account. Then go to MyAccount tab. Scroll down to the end. There is a heading caled PROPERTY INFO. Under this section you will find the 3 ids I was talking about. See the google ad group on the left side of this web page? This ad group appears because the soulcast administrator has put a Google Adsense Code in the source code of this web page, which is as follows: So, the Adsense for Content Property Info of Soulcast is: ca-pub-4743950894250545. Similarly, every adsense member has a similar type of client id. If I click on the ad, the revenue is going to be credited to the acount which has the unique client id: pub-4743950894250545, which is obviously that of Soulcast's. Now here is where Soulcast makes things rotten. In my blog, if 3 such ad groups are present, then soulcast is going to link perhaps only 1 of those ad groups to my client id and the remaining 2 to their own id. This claim is not unfounded. On the web page http://www.soulcast.com/bloc/ , I found 2 google ids: pub-9577545931015460 and pub-4743950894250545. Now, WHY THE HELL AM I GOING TO SHARE THE LITTLE REVENUE THAT GOOGLE ADSENSE GENERATES. SITES SUCH AS www.blogger.com ALLOWS ONE TO PUT ALL ADS LINKED TO HIS OWN ADSENSE ID. SO YOU GET TO KEEP 100% OF ALL THE REVENUE GENERATED THROUGH CLICKS ON THE WEB PAGE OF YOUR BLOG.

The challenge, a threat to the unity of the Palm and the Heart So bloody and tension filled was the war-song on both camps That the Head had no option but to intervene. On the crumbs of urgency, the palm lives And like Esau it sees death unless it is fed and instantaneous too. But the heart meals on the fruits of patience, Even in the face of starvation it sees life and enjoys the soothing treat of patience. In this forced marriage they journeyed as companions Along life rigorous paths they threaded With conflicting character but same goal. Abundance was that goal; subsistence was their vehicle, And hope their fuel. A turn of Fate brought them to this park, A garden so beautifully designed, with orchards of strawberries, Almonds and grapes yet with troopers that cushioned the interior from poachers. Yet a colony of birds there feast and celebrate the abundance and serenity within. . This view has caused pregnant this romance, For the intuitive sperm of the heart Has fused into the spontaneous egg of the palm. And a foetus of conflict should come forth. The conflict to own or to take, The provider or the provision. And alas, to their separate camps they ran, Fanning the embers of hate and chanting songs of war The palm has gone out in quest for divorce, For to take from the lucre and settle Today's hunger is the fare for the palms. Howbeit to save the provider and consider Tomorrow's unpredictability is the trademark of the heart. Recoiling in defence and drumming cautionary tunes, The heart has receded to her strong hold. Behold, the conflicting rhythm from the thunderous clapping of the palm And the unyielding whisperings of the heart An SOS to the Head has sent. To seek a path of peace, of reconciliation And to strike a balance. Today a truce is born, to own and to keep this park, so adorn with horticultural expertise. Today is therefore cast out, for tomorrow to lead. (By Shedrack James)

First of all, why should anyone read your Blog as opposed to someone else's? Second, sharing your (meagre) revenue with SoulCast and Google, will leave your pocketbook with just about an imaginary income! Getting paid for clicking ads is an exhaustively tested method by many on their Web sites. My friend pockets (maybe) ~$1200 U.S. /yr. from his site - www.zoom-one.com. It really amounts to petty ca$h, but I guess it's better than nothing! :-) Jakob

"anonymously" has been making a simple point and it seems that people still dont seem to get it. Ok in simle terms, am i right in thinking that every blog you write will have ads on it that ppl "might" click on that make you money?, and that, for example if there were 3 ads, he was suggesting that only 1 of the 3 will generate income to your own Adsnse account while the other two are making money for soulcast? jeez why didnt i think of that before?! lets al start a web site that claims to make money for bloggers, and then set it up so that we get loadsa money while the blogger gets next to nothing??! wow with just 1000 bloggers we'd be minted!!!!!! im gonna have to look into this :P actually i dont like the idea of ripping ppl off and twisting the facts to make it sound like a good idea, i think im gonna have to delete my account now..... i signed up to this 10 minutes ago, (ten minutes to see the scam COME ON PPL!!!!! How is this different from Blogger.com? They're doing the same thing -- how is this more beneficial to the human blogger?
• Vavna said on Aug 13, 2006....
Ok, nevermind, I get it now. Just went through the FAQ.
• anonymous said on Aug 14, 2006....
How is this different from Blogger? Well, if your blog is on Blogger, you get to keep all of your pocket change (and c'mon, it IS pocket change for 99.9% of bloggers) and if you blog here, whoever owns this place takes a percentage of your "revenue" for doing NOTHING. What a scam. Sign up for an AdSense account and put it on any blog, but one here. Why should you share your meager profits?
• Raymonde said on Aug 15, 2006....
Can I blog without the ad here? And what's the point of this if I could put ads on my blog on blogger?

hi.. i'm just a newbie here... the way i understand how to earn through my blog is just to place my Adsense ID in my account information and that takes care of everything. Am i right? And i'd be paid for blogging? Thank you for your response....
• coollinux said on Sep 13, 2006....
We've been mislead!

I just read this report about why so many people
are struggling with AdSense, and why so many "Gurus"
are still pushing making money with AdSense courses,
even though all the profit has been sucked out of the program!

I'm mad as hell!

The good news is, this report outlines
a far better way to make income online.

I only wish I had know about this last year. I wouldn't
have wasted so much time, money, and effort, trying
to win at a game that shouldn't even be played!

Check it out and let me know what you think.

Do it quick though, the author is pulling the information
soon, I think you'll see why!

hi, you mentioned that in your post that "You place ads on your blog at no cost to you, and when other users click on your ads, you get paid". The thing is that I don't have any ads
ads but i do know how to blog. With this condition, how
can I earn money through blogging.
• geh said on Sep 18, 2006....
How to get paid? What are the conditions?
• anonymous said on Oct 05, 2006....
My opinion somehow in the middle.

This soulcast is offering free services in blog and allow us to put our adsense ID. More free blog hosting now are restricting users on not to put adsense ID. And also, this soulcast is trying to build the community for blogger. Many blog community sites are not offering this type of income generation.

However, if you are master already in adsense earning generation, you won't need such service from soulcast as you can afford with paid hosting. Or you can find other free blog hosting and build community using other website.

Lasty, earning money with adsense is not limited using blog. There are other ways to earn income from adsense. One way can be checked from this site

Ok I have gone through some of the comments here, somehow gone off track for quite a while before it got back. Which is alright if everyone has the right to speak his/her mind. I am here to get paid too and hopefully I can get an amount good enough for me to make other investment. I have heard people making hundreds and then thousand. So I am taking my first baby step. Wish me luck.

I have read some where that says: Invest in You,Inc.

Everything starts off without you knowing how to do. But keep learning. Keep asking. Things will fall into place and you will finally make money blogging.

Investment in knowledge pays off the best. I too, invested a lot of money into blogging. To learn what it takes to earn a good income from Google Adsense. I also learned how to write, and where to sell my writing service that can pay me more than $20 a day.

I just bought Ultimate Blogging Package from an offer by BlogFeast. I think it is the best thing I have ever bought. For only $9.97, I am still reading those books. I especially like the Article Cash and Article marketing related ebooks. They show how an article writer can make money supplying Private Label articles to the market.

I bookmarked the sales page, don't know if it is still there, since it was a 72 hour offer. www.answer-is-here.com/ultimateblogging/bfspecialoffer

The usual one was at www.answer-is-here.com, which sells for $97. Same thing, but a lot more expensive. That is why I think I made a steal.

I agree to learning, especially learning from masters. They really speed up my learning curve. Anyway, it is still a money-time trade off.

Here is one report that I think every blogger having Adsense in mind should read: "What It Takes To Make Money Blogging With Adsense In 2007" - by Daniel. It shows you what works and what doesn't. It is a free download in PDF file, you can get it here: ||{1}||
