  This is terrible news.  I can't begin to imagine the angst your friend must feel.  How are her spirits? 
  
  There is so much tragedy in the world, I often wonder why these things happen.  I will pray for both you and your friend.  I imagine your  friendship and love are a source of strength for her. 

  Even in the midst of all of her pain and fear, she can rest in your love and care and feel at least *some* peace.

  I wanted to thank you all for your prayers and wishes.   The spirits of my friend are not good.  Besides her overwhelming grief, her body is simply giving out trying to heal.

  Sorry I didn't respond individually, but me and my crutches have to get to work!  My heart still feels the same though - grateful that people care enough to express their caring for my dear dear friend, and to encourage me.

  These organ donations don't come from God directly.  They're all second hand and all of us are just borrowing them.
  
  Prayers are needed for this poor soul because SOMEONE out there who was done with their organs and didn't need them anymore failed to sign up for the organ donation program.
  
  I'm not only signed up for that but I am registered with my HLA typing for bone marrow if a cancer patient should need it someday.  Some organs, like kidneys, you can donate while you're alive.  This may be handy if a loved on ever needs on and you are a match.
  
  Call you MVA to see how you can designate yourself as an organ donor.

  Oh how horribly sad!  My heart is broken for you all!
  I tried to be a kidney donor but my weight was too low and I would likely come out worse than my friend.  I tried and tried to gain because we were a match, but, at the time, I couldn't gain!  My friend was struck with a miracle when his Father came back into his life almost a week after I got word that I couldn't help and they were perfect for each other and they're both alive and well to this day!

  I'm so sorry about your friend. The hand she's been dealt is just completely unfair and devastating. I'll definitely keep her in my thoughts and I hope that she can find a donor and have a second chance at this life.

  I am so, so, very sorry for your loss.  I can't even begin to imagine the grief you feel right now.
