ENGINEERED STONE / QUARTZ
Engineered Stone is very easy to maintain. Engineered Stone does not require any sealing.
Day to Day Cleaning: For daily cleaning use soapy water or a mild detergent making sure to dry surface with a towel. If necessary use a small amount of non-bleach, non-abrasive cleanser.
Spills and Stains: Although most Engineered Stone products are resistant to permanent staining when in contact with liquids (such as wine, vinegar, tea, lemon juice and soda) or fruits and vegetables, clean up and food or liquid spills as quickly as possible. For dried spills use a Multi-Purpose Scotch-BriteĀ® scrub pad using a glass & surface cleaner. For any harden materials on your top, such as gum, food, grease, nail polish or paint, use a plastic putty knife and gently scrape of the item. Avoid using any permanent markers and any inks on your Engineered Stone. Avoid allowing any strong chemicals (paint removers, oven cleaners, etc.) to come in contact with your Engineered Stone countertop. Do not use highly alkaline (high-pH) cleansers on your countertop. In the case of any contact, flush the area with water as quickly as possible.
Heat Damage Prevention:
Although Engineered Stone can handle exposure to normal cooking temperatures from hot pans and dishes without being damaged, you should avoid place anything that is hot on your countertop. Hot pans, hot plates as well as some heat-generating appliances, like frying pans or crock pots, can damage the surface of your top. To prevent any damage always use hot pads or trivets with rubber feet to protect your countertop.
Warranty: Most Engineered Stone products come with a Limited Warranty. Ask your dealer or fabricator what type of warranty your countertop comes with.
