my aunt edith died last night......only a few rooms away from where i was in the ER.

she was 96....but still full of life.

the last time i saw her it was easter.....in the nursing home where she was staying temporarlily.....we all thought it was temporary anyway.

she wanted to plan a party when she got out and have my kids over.

she only has one son and he never had children she loved my kids like her own grandkids.

she was a hairdresser.....she didn't retire until she was eighty and then only because her hands couldn't do it anymore.

she was a stickler for appearances, she was always a most elegant lady. prim and proper and graceful.

this is my maternal grandfathers sister.

my grandfather is the second to the youngest of 12.

of those twelve, my grandpa, his younger brother  and one other sister are the only ones left.

from my room in the ER i heard one of the nurses say something about time of death.....and massive brain hemmorage,  etc.
but i didn't find out until a few hours later that it was my aunt.

thankyou secret, we'll all miss her very much. i just wish i'd been able to see her again.

i had a feeling at easter though that it may very well be the last time i saw her. i wasn't sure why at the time.

Fallyn...I am sorry for your loss. I know what you mean when it somes to having a feeling but unsure what it means at the time. I have had that happen several times in my life. I only wish I would have listened a bit closer to my own gut.

I'm sorry to hear this Fallyn..

i remember it was snowing when we went in her room that day.....snow on easter is so so unusual here.

it's sad to say.....but it's so less shocking when it is someone so old.  but still......not really expected either.

she was always smiling when we went to see her....no matter how much pain she was in she would never let it show.

I'm so sorry.  Your Aunt Edith sounded like a very special lady.

Perhaps in some cosmic way you were there at the same time for some reason that has yet to be revealed.

i don't know......it's possible.....but...it's a small town......it's almost like running into people you know at the grocery store.

every time i run into town i find someone i know.

You might be right, but I don't believe in coincidence

Fallyn, my most sincerest and heart felt sympathies to you and your family.  Sounds like she was the matriach in a way, I hope her presence in your life will continue to guide and comfort you for who she is.

    all my love,

My condelences, also, Fallyn.  She sounds like she was a firecracker of a lady to have still been a hairdresser at her age. I imagine she will be missed by many.

Sick, Sick, Sick....
and thats verrrry naughty of me....
I had to buy another pack of cigarettes this morning, not really knowing why I did because just recently I was praying so hard to God to help me quit…and I did-for about 3 moths....
I demand to know how it got here so fast, lol....
Saved my life....
