I'm scheduled for a lung CT this afternoon. We will get a detailed look at my lungs and see how advanced the COPD is. I cough constantly, and we are trying to figure out why. Already had a series of chest X-rays that doesn't show any mass of any kind, but it does show fibrosis.
The fibrosis it is showing is Atrophe all around the edges of the lungs. It looks like someone took a black magic marker and outlined the lungs. The doctor explained to me that those areas have dried out and is causing the lungs to shrink some. Of course, in those areas, you are not finding proper lung activity.
