well......i picked the kids up from school and headed out without extra clothes or anything cause this time we weren't spending the night.

i was heading over to a friends house to help with her last minute wedding prep stuff....her wedding is next sunday and i'm the maid of honor......
we were close friends in elementary school but have since grown apart and we really have nothing in common.....but she doesn't have many friends....ANYWAY.

she lives far south of where i usually get off the peninsula...so i decided to go a different way.
big mistake.....i got where i was going.....but it was the scenic route.
took me an extra hour.......

then my sister was bring my mother down south....and then going to head back down...well, traffic through seattle....and i mean ALL of seattle was at a snail's pace.....so even though she left an hour earlier than me.....we ended up at the same place about the same time....

and my phone was going dead....and we were trying to meet so i could get my mom.

i was heading north on I-5 and she was heading south.
anyway....it was a BIG fiasco....as anything involving my mother always is.
she can't choose an easy to find place to meet.....oh no.....

anyway.....so i got my mom in the car and it's already almost 7pm.....we were supposed to meet my freind at 6pm......

so....we start following the directions she gave us.

long story short......she missed two whole entire ROADS in the directions....so needless to say we got hopelessly lost.

we didn't get to her house till 9pm

then it was a three hour drive home......we didn't get home till around 3am.

10 HOURS in the car with three kids......is NOT MY IDEA OF FUN.

hmmmmph.
today was marginally better.
