  Blondes make up a smaller percentage of the population.  They stand out from the crowd because they're different from the majority.  When something is rare, such as a diamond as opposed to a garnet, or gold vs lead, it is considered more valuable.  And blonde is pretty.  But, I've noticed that men like to have other men admire their ability to attract women.  So, if they can attract the more rare, more valuable "bonde", then its an ego boost.  It is based a man's perception of societal values.  Luckily most men are not that silly (or have lowered the expections ...lol) and brunettes like me still have a chance.
