How would you assess your style? Do you always follow the latest trends? Are you after the comfort or the style?

I am more on the conservative side, I guess. I really don't follow trends. I prefer the classic style. Here are some trivia about how I dress up:

  • I don't wear mini skirts.
  • I don't wear sleeveless tops unless they're under some cover ups (e.g., shrugs, jackets, etc.)
  • I don't wear big accessories because I think that I can't pull them off.
  • I don't wear low-neck tops.

Well, most of the time (that's four days a week), I am in office uniforms so I only get to dress up on Fridays, thank God! My usual Friday ensemble will be jeans, pique polo shirt or tank top under a jacket, slides. My usual accessories -- pearl earrings, pearl ring, eternity ring, white gold bracelet, and stainless watch. Lousy isn't it? I tried wearing a sexy outfit before. But I was really uneasy. I just ruined the getup. I also bought fancy accessories, and now they're just accumulating dust.

I do wear makeup. Very light to none though. I just feel that I look like a drag queen if my face is overly done. My makeup staples are: light liquid foundation, loose powder, blush, lip balm, earth colored lipstick, and mascara. I don't play with my eyes because I tend to have racoon eyes. I guess I need to watch some makeup tutorials. Makeup application is one of my frustrations in life!

So that's it. That is how boring my fashion sense is. I'd be delighted to know yours. Tips are very much welcome.

I am also not actually into the lastest styles. I wear what I want to wear, and the thing is that after a certain point of time what I am wearing becomes the style. I know it is weird, but it always happens to me. I started wearning flared denims ten years back, and they came back, and are not going out. I remember my sisters making fun of me because of my denims, but I cared a damn. I love mini-skirts, the shorter the better, I am totally into them.... I am into boots, big time... I am not into accessories, I just wear my six earrings, thats all. Nothing more.... So what say you am I into fashion and styles?? Adious S

^Whoa! You are a walking paradox I should say! Cool yet sizzling h-o-t!!! I used to love boots, too. But they hurt big time. I have wide feet so I guess they're not for me. I wish my legs were sexier so I could get to wear mini skirts, too. Unfortunately, they're better concealed than flaunted.

No babe, First things first, there are no legs, which cannot be flaunted without the right length of heels, just go on increasing them until your legs become sexy enough. Take this advise from someone who know about what to show and how to show.... You can flaunt with pleasure, but do it with class... Adious S

Thanks for the tip! I might try that after I give my legs some workout. My thighs are quite on the heavy side. It's weird because my legs are thin. Can you imagine? Hahah!

Ok, maybe I should try a skirt sometime. I'll let you know if it's any good. Thanks much!
  • Weird_World said on Aug 10, 2006....
OK, how about me give you a suggestion on pants?? Wear dark colour, not more than one inch loose at the thighs o.k., and pencil fit... If it is dark, it will make you look thinner, when you want to look thinner, wear dark thats the motto... And loose at the thigh but sligthly only, because that is like, she is wearing loose pants, and pencil fit, cause you have thin legs, thats will show them to perfection... Next time you go shopping, try it... And any queries, ask me, just comment any of my blogs.... Adious S P.S.:- You wear a skirt, wear it in a dark or rich shade...

Wow! I will definitely take note of that! I really appreciate your tips! I read a bit on your blog, and by the way you write, I can tell that you are one gorgeous woman. By the way, I came across this website called stylediary.net where members post their outfits for the day. It's pretty cool! Maybe you'd want to check it out, too.

personally, i favor a more classic look. i favor armani over versace, for example, and i think hilfiger's gotten too big a head for his own good. a designer i like now i joseph abboud. his styles are similarly classic but he uses a color palette that my color-challenged eyes still seem to like. i stay on top of what's fashion but i usually don't subscribe to it. except for my kenneth cole shoes. ed

de-sign-er? Never heard of it. OK, so I'm not that bad... but I am a stay-at-home mom, at least until my maternity leave is over. My uniform is jeans and t-shirts (or sweaters in the winter). I only have enough money to shop second-hand, but I try to stay on the fashionable (NOT trendy) side of things there. As for accessories... baby food dripping down my chest? No, seriously, I can't wear much in the way of jewellery- SOMEONE likes to try to eat it! My mom can pull off amazing looks with her accessories- great vintage rhinestone brooches, chandelier earrings... she always looks great. Jeez- my mom's cooler than me! *sniffle!*

I use to be a lttle more fasionable, until I got pregnant 3 times in less than 3 years! I couln't afford all the cute maternitly clothes out there. So I kind of got use to wearing comfy jeans and t-shirts. It is a hard habit to break.hehe!

Weird World, I'll try to search for that blog. Again, thanks! silverwhisper, I also prefer the classics. But unlike you, I'm not particular with the brand. I don't have the budget for the designer brands. Yet. =D cfamommy, I envy your mom! I have 3 pairs of chandelier earrings that I don't get to wear. I don't have the guts. kdarticles, omg, you've been pregnant 3 times in less than 3 years!?! Sorry I got carried away. Anyway, I also love wearing comfy jeans and shirts.
