I have to say, I have never felt one before.  We've had tremors occur in the past, but never strong enough to wake me up from sleep.  But this morning I was up early, and went to the bathroom.  All of a sudden I heard a creaking and groaning noise, and thinking it was the wind I looked up to the ceiling.  I listened further, but soon realized it was coming from the floor--that's when I noticed the floor was actually SWAYING!  And the door was rattling against the door frame.  I freaked out and yelled for my husband to wake up, because I didn't know what was going to happen, or if it was going to get worse.  He didn't wake up until after the fact, and had no idea what I was talking about.  I came online and didn't find any information anywhere.  It was only about a half hour later that I first saw mention of the quake.  And I was about to start thinking I was crazy!

in the place i lived before i moved to this house, there was a small earthquake early in the morning-  nobody in the family woke up, but seems the house was built on top of an old mine....the movement from this little quake shifted the foundation of the house, and the earth opened i guess and the house sank 10 feet down.  the fire dept had to come get everyone out.
imagine waking up to find out your house is buried???
