Several studies done by psychologists who used past life hypnotic regression techniques showed that children who were adopted almost always have a strong past life tie to ONE OF the parents who adopted them and have absolutely no past life connection to their biological parents. The pre-life plan was to be brought up by the adopting parents, who are in fact their intended and "real" parents in this life.

This is most interesting to me--I have always liked reading about things like this, and have wondered about strange possibilities.  I always felt like I was meant to be with who I am with now--and how we ended up together is a strange story--as if life had a plan.  I don't know about the adopted children thing at all--but I can understand the concept.  I will keep wondering about these things......

People only believe what is before their eyes, but damn near nothing is before their eyes. People who dismiss the possibility of eternal souls surviving death are like termites who deny the possibility of all the heavenly bodies in the sky because they are beyond the termite field of vision.

interesting, wonder how that works with my daughters situation? this would mean she has a past life tie to knobhead?? hmmmmm  ...

No not necessarily. She might be one of the exceptions. There were a few exceptions in the book. Then again, she might have a karmic tie to knobhead, but a really bad one. I think the general point is that the people we have the strongest ties to, here, whether good or bad, are people we have the strongest ties to in heaven as well. The passing of DNA from the biological parent is not a strong tie. It's about relationships.
