Back in the day,
when I was in high school,
I was different and I knew it,
and what's more, I didn't care.
You see, it wasn't cool to be smart, or artsy.
While the other high school kids had summer jobs at the local grocery store,
I was at Jacob's Pillow.

I also took my fall semester as a senior off, and worked as an intern here.
I wasn't a cheerleader, I didn't play sports,
and I never even went to my senior prom.
While the other seniors were listening to the sound track to Footloose,
I was listening to Bob Marley, the Beatles, and one of my favorite albums
Pirates.
If my mother had ever listened to the lyrics from Pirates, she would have probably
had a major cow! Thankfully, she never did.
So here's one of my favorite songs from the album, which I still blast on my car stereo!
