"Yesterday, Insight Communications announced that it has upgraded its digital
service with additional, free high-definition (HD) movies and music channels on
its video-on-demand (VOD) tier. The second digital upgrade in three months,
which is called Insight Digital 3.2, follows on the heels of the company's
Digital 3.0 service. There is no additional charge to digital customers for
Insight Digital 3.2. The new HD movies are free on-demand, and the Urge digital
music service, which replaces Music Choice, offers customers eight new digital
music channels, including music channels such as Noggin and Nick Kids. Last
month, Insight announced that customers in its Kentucky and Indiana footprint
could sign up for a turbo-charged broadband service with downstream speeds of up
to 20 Mbps (story here).

Insight Broadband 20.0, also provides upstream speeds of up to 1.5 Mbps. After
dividing up the Insight Midwest Partnership with Comcast, Insight has
approximately 722,000 customer relationships in the three contiguous states of
Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. " "NEW YORK (Billboard) - Amid ongoing competitive
pressure from Facebook, MySpace is taking its latest shot at entering the music
business as other social networking peers, such as Last.fm and imeem, are making
big audience gains with ad-supported music offerings. According to sources,
MySpace is planning a service that would combine free ad-supported music
listening with paid MP3 downloads and music subscriptions. MySpace parent
company News Corp. has approached the major labels about forming a joint-venture
music site, similar to its partnership with the major Hollywood studios for
video site hulu.com. The new service would be operated by MySpace and seemingly
be positioned to compete against every offering from iTunes to subscription
service Rhapsody to social networks.
baladeurs MP3 Details are still
unclear on MySpace's plans, but it is expected that MySpace will build the music
service on its existing social networking base, which draws nearly 70 million
U.S.
users each month. MySpace did not return calls for comment. During the last
year, the four major labels have warmed to the idea of allowing users to share
music on social networking sites, inking deals with Last.fm and imeem for a cut
of advertising revenue. Music is the central connector on both sites: Users
create and share playlists with their favorite songs, find and add friends based
on their music preferences, listen to full-length songs on demand and purchase
downloads through links to Amazon and iTunes. " "We heve seen MP3 portables that
can fit in your Nikes, work underwater, and are even incased in gold plating.
mp4 player But to give you a
massage. Say hello to the OSIM iGoGo. This little unit comes to us courtesy of
CNET who describe this little unit as ""that hottie MP3 player"".
cheap mp3 players We say, when
Marshall McLuhan said the Media is the Massage that was just a sly take off of
his own catch phrase Medium is the Message. Who knew someone would take him
literally. The iGoGo is a simple 128MB flash unit that that can perform acts
that are not so simple.
mp3 mp4 player It comes with
two hydro-gel pads that talk to the player via an RF connection. The pads
vibrate to the thump, thump, thump of whatever trance tune you are listening
too. It gets better as the user can purchase additional gel pads so others
can...er...vibrate to your tunes. For the innocent that means a relaxing
shoulder massage with your best friend while tunes jam to whatever speaker
system you have plugged the iGoGo into. For those not so innocent, well, god
bless you. Otherwise, the iGoGo is a very simple unit, offering and MMC slot to
upgrade the skimpy memory by today's standards. The unit is priced at a very
expensive $400.
