Every morning, on my way to the office, I have to merge from a split expressway to a county route. There is a lane dedicated to those turning and a mixed use lane. Most mornings, I queue up in the turning lane, and happily wait, listen to Morning Edition and mentally prepare for the office. Daily, someone will decide that queuing up is for suckers and pull up to the mixed use lane (which has a merge itself). This person is often male, always young, and more than occasionally driving a Volkswagen Jetta. A couple of times a week, bad hip hop will be emanating from the Jetta.

Did I mention that it's never the same person? It's always someone new.

Which makes me question about how people reacted to me when I was driving a Jetta...was I that young asshole irritating others? Why was I in such a hurry to get to work anyway?

Haha, that's youth for you. Watch a few MTV music videos, and all of a sudden, they are gangsta. Even though they live with their mom, and have never seen a bad neighborhood. I always saw through this since I was in high school, so not all youth waste their greatest years.

Honestly, I would disagree with the greatest years part. I am having the time of my life in my thirties. I think it is because I now know my limits and more to the point, I have the cash to do what I want most of the time.

As usual, revenge is a plate best eaten cold...or....how to go from shitty to relaxing........
New drivers are disproportionately involved in accidents, especially in the first months after passing a driving test. It has been proven that drivers who have taken hazard perception test training have much better hazard test skills....
