Who's reading cornflakegirl (33):
now that i'm unemployed, i'm trying to settle into a workout routine that will suit me. i think i'm relatively healthy with pretty good eating habits (i have been a vegetarian for the past 9 years) but i HATE to work out. i guess i'm not the only one, but i still find it hard to stay at the gym for more than 30 minutes, and i switch off between the elliptical machines and the bikes.

i like the elliptical better and think it gives a great cardio workout but i usually bring a book with me and find it extremely difficult to read and maneuvre the arms simultaneously (magazines are usually better for this machine, in my opinion). also, i'm a complete spazz and if my book doesn't go flying, then it's bound to be my ipod. :) so i sit and go on the bike and read my book in peace.

what are your suggestions for completing an awesome workout? what music do you like to listen to? i usually have coldplay, bob marley, michael franti, matisyahu, a tribe called quest, etc. on my ipod mix and am always open to suggestions!

Uugghh I hate working out but if I have to, what works better for me is going out for a jog. Being inside a gym just doesn't motivate me enough; and if I go jogging I know that evetnually I have to get back to starting point lol

good point. i think i daydream at the gym, too... look out of the window and want to rush out of there so i can enjoy the beautiful weather. but going out for a jog is a nice solution.

i think paying 300$ to go to the gym and use a fake bike is pointless. take that 300$, go get yourself a real bike, and go biking in the real world. i think its so much better. you get fresh air and excercise at the same time! you get to see the world and take it in, instead of sitting in a black and white room with other sweaty people. Another way is to take on a sport, like tennis. Or go to the pool and get some laps done. its cheap, fun and you get your excercise done! =)

Why in the world would a 27-year old redhead with a zest for life and a passion for travel be unemployed. (I read your About Me info.) Sorry, I am just gloating because I landed a new gig. A short one, but my creditors will be happy. tifa must have better air quality than we have around here--hot car exhaust fumes.

hahaha...we got that too...its montreal..but in the residential areas its not that bad. if you wake up early in the morning and go for a jog or rollerblade, you'll feel much better than staying in a closed room with other people, breating the same air..

A few things I'm struggling with....
Everyone desires to be a better person, yet that can seem to be an unattainable aspiration. Discover how you can start to consciously take steps towards that goal everyday......
I have a few writings inspired by other soulcasters. The muse for this one is Travelr712. I took a new direction after reading one of his posts. I hope a similar change will happen for you....
Giving out thanks....
