I´m working on a series of blogs for every day of the week to actively work on overcoming my depression.

I have always enjoyed keeping a journal ever since I was a child. And, so I thought I will hit two birds with one stone. . .or in this case flocks of them (sounds cruel, eh? lol) . . .

I will blog and share with all of you (positive peeps, who all inspire me) ; journal my happy moments (which I am remiss to do!) ; provide mental energy for my withering gray cells (darn depression, I´ll get you!); and what I discovered serendipitously. . .record my stories of the girls growing up years instantaneously in pictures and stories (because I have boxes of diaries and pieces of paper with keywords on them and I don´t know if I will ever be able to decipher them again - this is quicker)!

I need to keep a routine that is fun. . .and blogging provides fun for me most of the time. . .

So far I have come up with. . .

  • I´m OUt & About . . . it´s Monday - I will be posting pictures of myself (it maybe from the past, present or just spontaneous shots taken seconds before posting!) and what makes me happy. I started it with this Monday blog. There I posted a picture of tulips in spring and pictures from me 2 years ago in summer (Germany), and a year ago in summer (Holland). I would have wanted to write a small blog about my love for tulips but time was not on my side. Another day then.

  • Just DO it . . . it´s Tuesday - I need help from you lot with this. . .I will make a poll Friday evening to ask you for suggestions on what I should do on Tuesday. . .a positive dare so to speak . . .To make it a community project those who comment on this blog must be prepared to be asked to do something too the following Friday (perhaps the one, whose suggestion got chosen?). We need to post pics about the dare.

  • Turning Woes To Weee´s . . . it´s Wednesday - I would post up ideas I am coming up with to overcome depression. . .which I am of course applying myself. . .

  • Telling Tales . . . it´s Thursday - I will post my written short stories.

I do not have anyconcrete ideas for the week-end days yet . . . I am open to suggestions ideas

For this week´s Wednesday. . . my idea is getting in touch again with the wacky side of my brain.

I recall having a passion for knock - knock jokes when I was in elementary school. This is the part I loved about my childhood memories at school, always coming home with a new joke from school. Or after a week-end visit from my grandparent´s home jokes from my zany uncles to share at school.

I have forgotten all of them though . . . the knock the knock jokes, and tonight I want to start searching for my lost memory of knock knock jokes . . .

Can you share your favourite knock knock jokes?

Meanwhile I will search the internet for some and post it here . . .

Paper,  I have been reading a lot of your post and I kind of gotten something figured out.   They say you can figure out a lot of things about a person from the way a person writes and what they write about.  You seem to be a depressed person who wants change but your not sure what is going to be the change to allow you to overcome your depression.  Instead you just hide it deep inside and try to allow others to have fun with you instead of feeling good about yourself and feeling the way you should.

It is okay to feel that way and to do that.  I used to be very depressed and I went through 8 months of therapy for it.  It isn't a bad thing and sometimes you have to do certain things to make yourself not depressed.  Therefore please read my daily jokes I'm going to start posting and tell me what you think.  I posted my first one today and I will continue eachday as much as I can.  I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them and if you want to chat about things please feel free to get in touch with me.  Have fun and remember if a person never feels sadness then they aren't really human.

Hi Paperback!  There's nothing sweeter than the knock knock joke - they're so dependably corny and heartwarming =)  I love how you hear the knock knock, ask "who's there?", think to yourself 'what will it be??!!' and then go 'aaaaawwwww' when you hear the punch line!  They are like the first jokes we are introduced to as children and I love even the worst of them.  They're always in our bon-bons at Christmas...
