While the world is continually blaming little Israel for not loving her neighbors enough, while her neighbors pledge daily to wipe this little country off the face of the earth, Israel sends humanitarian aid to the Gaza strip and takes in many Gazans to Israeli hospitals. The UN says we don't take in enough--but hey guy, how many injured Taliban does the US take into her hospitals?

Here is what happened today in Israel, wonder how many media sources will even mention it, for Jewish blood is still so cheap among the Nations. This is from Arutz 7 and the link will be after the paragraphs quoted:

"2 Dead in Terror Attack on Nachal Oz Crossing 4 Nissan 5768, 09 April 08 06:28

by Hana Levi Julian

"(IsraelNN.com) Palestinian Authority terrorists murdered two Israelis Wednesday afternoon in an attack on the Nachal Oz Crossing fuel depot near the Karni Crossing into Gaza.

The attack began with a barrage of mortar shells aimed at the Gaza Belt communities of Nachal Oz and Alumim. As the mortar fire continued, local sources said terrorists infiltrated the Karni area and began shooting. A terrorist cell of some three to seven operatives used the cover of mortar fire to infiltrate through the depot, which Israel uses to deliver humanitarian aid and thousands of tons of fuel supplies to Gaza Arabs, including terrorists at least once a week, sometimes more often.

"The terrorists then shot and killed the two Israelis before escaping back through the terminal to the Gaza side.

"Palestinian Authority sources said three terror organizations claimed responsibility for the attack, which was carried out by a group of three to seven members of the Islamic Jihad al Quds Brigades, the Popular Resistance Committees' Salah al-Din Brigades and PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen)'s Fatah faction's Mujadeen of the Al Aksa Martyrs' Brigades terrorist gangs." Here is a part of column from the Jerusalem Post, showing how the Hamas organizes its mass lies for your international consumption. : The article is by Calev Ben-David and is called: "How the Hamas fuels Gaza Gas Shortage" Here is the link for those who want the full story:

    http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?c=JPArticle&cid=1207649986243&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull

"This past Monday, gas stations in Gaza apparently decided to hold a "protest strike" in which they refused to sell fuel to the local populace.

At the same time, a program on Hamas radio was broadcast urging Gazans to call in with suggestions for alternative means of transportation to cars and buses.

Sure enough, the next day saw several news stories coming out of Gaza reporting on the "fuel crisis" there, focusing on the travails of ordinary Gazans due to "months of restricted Israeli fuel supplies."

A taxi driver comments to an AP reporter: "We are like street dogs looking for bones"; another is quoted as calling into that Hamas radio program to say, "My friend and I hired a donkey for $5 and tied it next to the university because we couldn't find a taxi."

Nice color, as we say in the journalism business.

And then, on Wednesday, Gazan terror groups stage a carefully coordinated attack on the Nahal Oz fuel depot in which two Israeli civilian workers are killed.

"This [Israeli] fuel is dipped in humiliation" because people wait for it for hours, declared an Islamic Jihad spokesman at a post-attack press conference, adding, "If their fuel means humiliation for us, we don't want it."

i think it's pretty darned clear that israel's generally behaved with tremendous restraint--a whole lot more than the US tends to demonstrate, that's for damned sure.

Hi, tosilverwhisper thank you for your observation--the problem is that most people outside of Israel never get to know the truth at all, for the reporting is slanted. There was a veteran WWII reporter who was in Israel at some point during that last 15 years--can't remember exactly when--and he complained that none of the younger reporters left the sides of the pools at their hotels to actually accompany the Israeli army, which he did, and that they used press releases from the various Arab organizations.

This may or may not be partly the fault of the Israeli public relations people-- to understand the mentality of the younger reporters and also to hand them ready made material so that they don't have to stop drinking their martinies and their flirting but can just fax in another sheet of paper. But it is more than that, the agenda of the west is to discredit Israel and cultivate the misunderstanding of the situation.

where you and i disagree is in your final sentence: there are most certainly plenty of people in the west who don't have that agenda.

To silverwhisper I can agree with that, but it is those in power who are pulling the strings, Rice comes here and insists on removing roadblocks and our cowardly government removes roadblocks and we have more dead Jews, which doesn't bother her or Bush-obviously. Jewish villages are impediments to peace she and the puppet masters tell us over and over again, but guns in arab hands are not impediments to peace. Gets me sick.

I am not referring to the rare intellectuals who have a knowledge of history, who read the news from other sources outside of America, who have judgement and can form their own opinions.(I still remember Adlai Stevenson, and how he was so far above the mentality of the country that he did not influence anyone. While the Kennedy machine came in and exxed him out of politics.)

The agenda is an American governmental agenda, across party lines, and it is dangerous to us here because our government panics and gives up stratigic advantages for nothing nothing nothing at all but some worthless half promises. I am sick of our non-entity government and I have no real faith that any government (I'm not talking about citizens, but governments) is any kind of ally or friend tothis Jewish country, or the Jewish people in general.

Just and addition-the Hamas attacked some trucks bringing in fuel. They want to create a worse situation for that is what they want to manipulate their people and the world. Anyone who prefers believing the Hamas to believing Israel, well, can I sell them the Brooklyn Bridge?
