Yesterday I finally planted some things in my tiny garden. I planted Kentucky pole beans because they did really well last year. And I planted 3 kinds of squash. I usually start my garden in March but I kept getting sick. Plus I was gone for a week, so no one would have been here to water the seedlings. Luckily it's S. California and pretty hard to 'not' grow things. I usually have the opposite problem. By June my sweet little garden has turned into a jungle.

I took the grass clippers to the jasmine. It's threatening to take over the whole flower bed again.

And I trimmed a whole lot of rosemary. Lamb anyone? Got any great cooking ideas for rosemary? At least it's in the refrigerator now so I may actually remember to cook with it.

That is lovely. You already have summer but when I looked out of the window tonight it had snowed. Hope it will be away tomorrow.

    nice picture, purple!

rosemary, to me, is always best with lamb, or venison. i'm a big fan of both flavor combinations, actually. :D

are you a fan of jasmine tea? i'm thinking that iced jasmine tea would be a really nice beverage to sip while enjoying the weather. :>

I have 2 kinds of jasmine in my yard. Which kind do you use for tea? Do you use the leaves or the flowers?

I'm happy to say that after only a week the squash is already starting to sprout.

i have no idea--i just know that i've seen jasmine-scented teas. hm...i'm presuming, based on that, that one probably uses the flowers as i'm sure that's where that scent is extracted from.

one week, and your squash is sprouting already? wow, someone's in a hurry to make the harvest, huh? :>
