Who's reading I'mNotHungry (56):

When you walk to the ticket counter to get your boarding pass, be sure to ask for a seat directly in front of a 3-5 year old, traveling with parents who just  don't give a shit about the comfort of anyone else on the plane.

Once airborne, the 3-5 year old will begin kicking our seat back relentlessly.  If you're lucky, he/she will use the bottom of the seat, where the back and bottom come together.  This is extremely relaxing.

If you are also interested in having a massage chair, it is possible, with some coaxing, the 3-5 year old will begin to play with his/her tray.  Pounding the tray up and then down, over and over and over again - this feels just like a massage chair!

I have never felt so relaxed.  I thought perhaps if I reclined my seat all the way, I would get a facial too!

    Good for you....lol..

For me.......nah, i dont like THAT kind of massages...i tend to react quite differently to such stimuli....like, snapping at the parents's nasty little masseuse and ask in a deceiving corteous manner.

"Does your child have Tourette Syndrome?"...and leave it there...it works as a charm anytime....lol..

OMG!!!  That was my biggest fear while recently traveling with Little D!  Thankfully we brought the car booster seat and she was high enough and far enough away from the tray that she couldn't reach it.  She was way too interested in watching TV on the seat back in front of her to be kicking.  On the trip there and back she passed out shortly after we took off...we all did!

Ginger, I travel A LOT, especially recently.... and I've found there's always something interesting happening at either the airport or the plane.  Especially involving children.... I was once pounded in the head with a matchbox car, and had spitballs thrown at me from a yound lady beside me who was playing with her napkin and her juice and her mother apparently didn't notice.....

My favorite was a cross country flight where there were 3 girls directly in front of me, their parents were across the aisle and during the entire trip, they were yelling, "Mom, mom, mom, mom" and she completely ignored them.

daily, I used to travel with my dtr every other weekend and I was always congnizent of the other travelers around me!  I'm glad to hear you had no surprises on your trip

    Hey, Hungry.....it was you???....LOL....

I have been on a flight one time and i witnessed the same insane scene.......i mean....this poor overly kind woman was seating in the middle of two little beasts who were jumping up and down and poking each other eyes for the whole 4 hours of the flight....

while their mom was peacefully busy reading her book two seats behind...

i am telling you, some people should be prohibited to have kids and less than less flying with them.......lol...

LOL!  I told the flight attendant that I think kids misbehaving on planes is against FAA regulations - she laughed - but it didn't help........... *SIGH*

And I'm so excited, I get to do it all again Tuesday!

Geez......i am so envious of you right now....LOL....
  • I'mNotHungry said on Apr 06, 2008....

Yes, dripping with envy! ... I can see it!
For the past  weeks I've spent 2 days a week in airports and airplanes.

Go ahead - touch me twice!

  • gingersoul said on Apr 06, 2008....

It had to happen eventually....
they sure are fun!...
Depressing to lose interest in a beloved series by such a matter after enjoying it immensely all of these years, but leave it to Russell T Davies to throw his beloved fans into a dark ditch. Way to go you tool!...
