We've all been there. Walking along the sidewalk only to look up and notice that someone is walking in the opposite direction, directly in your path. You attempt to move to one side to avoid the other individual, but he/she moves in the same direction. Then you both try to correct this by moving to the other side. This continues until one of the parties stops to allow the other person to proceed around them, and both individuals can proceed on feeling entirely idiotic. This past December I had one of these experiences... with a pigeon. As if we needed more evidence to assert that these vile rats with wings have adapted to life amongst human beings and may, in fact, believe that they are human beings themselves.
