When I was working on getting my pilot's license about 1975, I had a LDS flight instructor that related to me experiences with his Home Teacher from the other side of the veil:

 

He was out flying in a single engine plane over some remote Utah canyon country, when an audible voice spoke to him in plain English you better find a place to set this plane down.

He even looked in the back seat to see if he had a passenger he didn't know about.

 

He ignored the voice about three times, as the gages said he had plenty of fuel, each time telling him the same thing very audible.

 

Finally as the engine started sputtering he was able to find a place in the rocks to safely set the plane down.

 

After this he could hold conversations with his Home Teacher from the other side of the veil.
