Nature is a spiritual experience for me. People say all the time "i love nature and the outdoors". I think mostly they say it bc they enjoy the outdoor activities. I never can gage the actual truth behind what people claim to love and to what degree. I cant help but feel like no one appreciates nature to the extent that i do. I am in aww over it. Im in a complete stupor about its beauty and strength.
I was driving home from a party the other morning. It was at dawn, it was a cloudy day and the sun wasnt roaring yet but the over all glow shown beneath the clouds and beat on the plains before me. The sky was a yellow cast and all of the corn, wheat, hay was burnt copper color. The wind was whistling and the hay rolled like it would if it was the ocean. I was the only vehicle on the hwy for 40 miles. The creeks were sparkling as they weaved under the old wood bridges i crossed. Cows sprinkled the pastures as they lazily grazed the corn. Spring is here. The ducks squaking and flying above me in there imperfect formations. The naked trees reaching for the sun begging to begin blooming. Complete serenity. Nature was asleep, the animals moving around beginning their day was making the ground turn in its bed. Slowly the clouds were parting and the wind was breaking through. The streams became more lively and the copper of the fields was rustling up to be a vibrant yellow orange.
As i came up to the outskirts of my town, nature was awake and we were both ready to begin our day.
