Things have been happening to me for quite some time now and I never really understood what was the purpose of it. I desperatly have been trying to find an answer to the non-sense and I may have found a couple of clues to help me figure out what's going on. Now, I realize you don't know what I'm talking about. So, here is a list of examples of the bizarre things going on:
1) My first encounter with the bizarre was when I was 8 years old. I was lying in bed and I heard someone, right above my head, calling for Michael. It was a kid, calling for him, it was very loud and it scared the hell out of me.
2) I have had dreams or feelings that foretold the future. 2 weeks ago, I woke up in the middle of the night because I heard my brother calling for me in tears and felt he was really sad. I hopped online, hoping he would be there (I'm in Ottawa, he's in Montreal), asked him if he was alright, told me he was. However, I still had the nagging feeling that something was going to happen. In fact, 2 days later, i could feel his sadness over a situation, i would rather not discuss for it is quite a private matter.
3) I have had dead relatives visiting me in my dreams 2 days after their burial to deliver messages to the family.
4) I have been waking up and seeing the silhouette of a man in my room. I havent seen him in a while, but I never really knew who it was.
5) I dreamed of someone i didn't know and saw him the next day. He was blonde in my dream and when I saw him the next day, he was the only blonde among a group of brown haired people.
6) I wake up in the middle of night and see things, call out for help, but nobody wakes up. I go back to sleep, terrified. Worst part is, i see these things while i'm fully awake.
7) Once i was sleeping over at my friend's place. I had trouble sleeping and she was dead asleep. I heard someone whispering in my ear, so I turned around to see what it was, and I heard a cackle. I turned back, trying to ignore it, but it whispered again. So i tried to ignore it and it stopped.
and the list goes on...So, as much as the paranormal scares me, I am striving to find an explanation for all this. I'm trying to find some clues to see if these visions are in fact a gift that i should develop.
It may be a hereditary thing. my mother has had a series of premonitions and visions, as well as my aunt who was a psychic and was freakishly right about most of the things she predicted (she was one of the dead relatives who visited me in my dreams). Also, my grandfather was into the whole spirit encounter thing, he was once thrown in jail, accused of murder by witchcraft. His aunt was into that stuff too and she has had many encounters with the spirit world. I'm thinking maybe the fact that i'm born on October 31st (well, that's what people are telling me) may be of something. I feel comfortable in a cemetary and don't feel awkward around the dead. I saw 2 people comitting suicide and I just kept on walking as if nothing happened.
Am i crazy?! or is there really something i should be looking into?

Hello tifa... This is normal. Gifted is the word, I would use to describe you... You are definitely psychic... use this gift of God wisely... see how u can benefit humanity with your ability, that's the best way u can love and serve God... Have u heard of edgar cayce, and nostradamus and the like... all these ppl had these psychic abilities... onlu ppl who have advanced in karma have access to such good spiritual qualities... u are one to be one of them... How do i know ? Definitely crazy (just kidding). I have no clue. My dad died last summer and a couple of nights later I dreamed someone let him in the front door. He was shivvering from being in the cold ground for several days even though he was still alive. ... I immediately woke up. Breathing heavy and half freaked out until I got a handle on it being a dream. It seemed so real. I was not afraid of him in the dream. I felt terribly sorry for him, that he had been buried alive. I also heard the phone ring during the night about the time my little 12 year old cousin was killed. It rang for real in the morning when I was told of her death in a car accident. I think we are probably at a point in human evolution that we are uncovering other abilities that have been unused because we have been too busy out running hungry animals and each other. -

I believe that everyone can do this, but many made a choice when they were little to shut it off. From shame probably, since we are filled as children with all kinds of nonsense by adults. When I was 5, I could fall asleep and almost immediately float up out of my body. One of my posts is actually a story about the experience. I did this over and over and over as a kid. It was a lot of fun. -

Hi Tifa, sorry to have overlooked this interesting post. I came across it after reading your comments on ALIEN's ghost post.
I must say that you are gifted in the real pyschic sense. Your sixth sense is so attuned to the spiritual world and this explains why these spirits come to you and make their presence felt so you can deliver a message for them.
Whether you make an effort to develop it or not, it will by itself come out in the open and you will have to make a conscious choice by acknowledging or rejecting this gift.
At least in my case, I can only hear strange noises, but I have no ability to see them. It's better that way, at least you can think of what they look like based on your own imagination.
I know I'm psychic, cause there were many times, even before a call is answered, I would know who would be calling and the purpose of their call even before I answered them.
I also have this ability to assess people on how they would react to certain situations and tell them that I sort of expected that they would react in this manner which often shocks them because I would have already preceded their thoughts.
You are definitely gifted but for what purpose, that is what you have to find out for yourself and the reason for such gift. Good luck! :D
